We would have a true football guy as the GM. Not sure who it would be, but he would be a true football guy. So all would be right in the world. Just accept that as fact and you avoid the headaches. It used to be we looked forward to Stephen Jones taking the helm. That went south today I guess. Anonymous True Football guy, we are looking for you. I hope you don't have a contract with some other team because that would be tampering.
I have no idea who the Head Coach would be. There doesn't seem to be a consensus. Suddenly once again Norv Turner seems to be the choice, even though I only remember dbair1967 liking that idea when we all thought it was Norv.
Ray Sherman would apparently be the OC. His first gig as OC was 1998 with the Steelers. They scored 263 points. That year the Vikings scored 556 points. In 1999 he took over as OC of the Vikings and that score dropped to 399 points. He's a great WRs coach, but I personally am not sold on him as an OC. But hey what do I know in comparison to the experts here?
I have no idea who the DC would be. The name most bandied about has been Dave Campo. Believe it or not. I can't speak for everyone, but this makes me sick to even think about it. Gte me my Nyquil, I feel the need to go numb just thinking about it.
Tony Romo turns the ball over too much so he would be gone. The most bandied about name is Brady Quinn, but that is really more by one person with a sickening man crush more than anything else. The next name that seemed to come up was Jeff Garcia. I guess he would be our QB and Ray Sherman would be expected to run a WCO for him. Interesting.
Terrell Owens and Matt Jones would be our starting WRs. Ogletree would be the 3rd guy and Danny Amendola the 4th guy. Or is that flip flopped? I've lost track. No team picked up Matt Jones all year long. Jerry is an idiot to leave that guy on the street and keep Miles Austin. Replace TO's production...pfft. Yeah right. Excuse me, was that out loud?
Jason Witten would have a reduced role because he can't get it done any more. Martellus Bennett would be traded to the Bengals. Not sure I disagree with that one since it was supposedly for a 1st round pick. I am a greedy ***** when it comes to draft picks. Can't deny what is true. I also can't deny the Offense suffered a little without Bennett in there against the Chargers. But you've got to look at the stats and only the stats to know his importance to the team. I gotta remember that.
Flozell Adams would be gone and Doug Free too, so I guess Pat McQuistan would be the LT. His twin brother Paul would have been picked up and Montrae Holland would be gone. Procter would be gone too, so I guess the other big red ugly would be our top backup at Guard. No one that I know of dislikes Columbo. It still sucks that he got hurt. I think there are a couple of fans who would have Gurode gone so I guess Duke Preston would be our Center.
Tashard Choice would be our top RB and Marion Barber would only get carries in the 4th quarter. Or maybe he would be our FB and Deon Anderson would be gone. I can't figure out what the fan consensus is on Felix Jones. He is either under used or over used. That much we do know. Apparently finding him the exact right number of carries is the football equivalent of the needle in the haystack.
Marcus Spears would be long gone by now so I guess Jason Hatcher would be starting. Maybe Stephen Bowen. Rest assured our DEs would do stuff that no other 3-4 DEs have ever done.
Bradie James never would have started and Keith Brooking never would have been signed. Instead Ray Lewis would be here at some kind of magical cap friendly deal that allowed us to keep Ware. Bobby Carpenter would definitely be gone so Jason Williams would be the primary backup at ILB and would be the cover LB in Nickel and Dime packages. Anthony Spencer would be gone and Victor Butler would be opposite Ware. Although lately I have read that Ware can't get it done.
Every CB we have would be neurotic from having heard that they are both "our best CB" and "can't play at all." Scandrick has gone from hero to zero. Jenkins never would have developed because he was gone last year after the Giants game. It is debatable whether or not Pacman would still be here.
Ken Hamlin would be long gone. I think. Recently it seems some can't wait for him to return.
Nick Folk would be gone and David Buehler would be the FG Kicker unless we took a look at Jason Elam, and all would be well in the world.
That is the formula for an undefeated season right there.
And you wonder why this emoticon is so good.
