I'd still like to see Jay Ratliff at end, and a big run stuffing NT. He would be explosive off the edge, and a monster in the run game. I know...he's really good where he is!

We would have a true football guy as the GM. Not sure who it would be, but he would be a true football guy. So all would be right in the world. Just accept that as fact and you avoid the headaches. It used to be we looked forward to Stephen Jones taking the helm. That went south today I guess. Anonymous True Football guy, we are looking for you. I hope you don't have a contract with some other team because that would be tampering.

So where's your opinion at?

He forced a fumble against the Giants last week.

I believe 3 of our best players are Tony Romo, Miles Austin, and Jay Ratliff. I don't remember one single fan who was pimping for them. We would have had Byron Leftwich at QB and Merriman over Ware and a lot of other mistakes too.

Fan Drafts are fun, and I do them a lot. But our scouting department does a pretty fair job of finding gems like Choice and Scandrick and Barber. Just to name a few.

I don't think they are our Achilles heel or albatross. JMO.

Exactly. From maybe around 96-2002, our drafts were mostly bad to abysmal. But since then, you had couple of bad years in between, but mostly good drafts to decent drafts.

Whats not in question is, the Coaching choices of Jerry ( being bad that is). Thats been the problem since Jimmy and to be honest, I thought it all changed with BP. Jerry made the right choice there, but unfortunately it wasn't the BP from even Jets, forget NE or NY. He simply didn't have it, but he did change the culture somewhat, to his credit.

It's kind of silly to make this notion when we could of had a guy like Chris Johnson or Stephen Jackson. Our scouting department has come up short more than it has hit on a lot of times. Marty B is a prime example of this and not trading him for a first round draft pick was simply idiotic. Some fans also wanted Desean Jackson, Steve Smith and various other players that are putting up ridic numbers also. So it's not oh X player is bust ahahhahh.

Honestly, though HoS I really want to here your honest opinion about what you would of done different. I mean you make this thread calling fans out that make wild post. Yet you don't really post your thoughts. I mean you campaigned hard for RW thus far he hasn't lived up to the trade hype. So instead of playing the role that you normally play of not getting into it. I want to hear you say what moves you would of made. How this team makes you feel. If Wade Phillips was your coach of choice. Things along that nature. If you don't want to post it on the board for whatever reason then by all means PM. I wouldn't mind having you drop some knowledge.

then you can add fans and media as reasons the Boys can't win in December.

Rampage would be PR guy and Hostile and Bach would broadcast games together.

I'd have to say that the one constant between the two "regimes" would be this:

No playoff wins.

Except for that tackle in the backfield last week that he forced a fumble on which he recovered. That got us a ten point lead by the way.

Great post Hos!

The only change I have advocated for this year (for several years now actually) has been for Jerry to step down and hand the team over to Stephen.

The main reason for this is that the atmosphere that Jerry has created is not conducive to winning championships IMO. The coaching staff has no real authority with the team, whether it is Bill Parcells or Wade Phillips.

I loved our draft and FA moves this offseason and I see more of Stephen's hand in this than Jerry's so it is going in the right direction but not quickly enough.

Stephen Jones is that football guy we are all wanting. He has been in the business his entire adult life and is as sharp as they come. I believe he would hire a guy with experience (maybe Dan Reeves or someone of that caliber) as GM and would have a much more hands-off approach to running the team.

13 seasons without a playoff win would get any other GM in the league fired long ago. The only constant in all this time has been Jerry Jones.

What makes Stephen a football guy? The fact that he has been around the business for 20 years? So has Jerry and according to you he isn't a football guy.

I'd say the thing that differentiates Stephen from Jerry is ego, or at least that's what many of us hope.

Whereas Jerry's ego prevents him from loosening his iron grip on the team - which some of us feel is to its' detreiment - Stephen seems the type who would take a step back, concentrate on what he does well, and realize the things he doesn't do well.

At least that's what some of us hope...

You may be right but people should hold off labeling him a football guy. I mean they say the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree for a reason right? Not saying I disagree with you but don't get your hopes up.

If the fans and DFW media ran the Cowboys, I predict they would have at least as many playoff wins as Jerry Jones has over the past 12 years.:p:

At this point, what else have I got?
