If the players have really quit

4 games in a row with zero turnovers.

that isn’t good defense.

that is 1/4 of an entire season without a single turnover. That is abhorrent.

The defense is the #1 problem with this team in my opinion. At least on the field. Offenses are going to be somewhat inconsistent based on the strength of the opponents defense. The defense has to create turnovers and great field position to make it easier to score and to score themselves.

We still forced 3 punts and stopped them from scoring after a Dak fumble at our own 25 yard line. Our offense did nothing with that, score was 26-7 with 7 minutes left in the game. You don't win games if you only have 7 points on the board with 7 minutes left in the game

im not saying the offense wasn’t a problem.

I’m just pointing out the fact that the defense isn’t any good either. They aren’t. They are garbage

Bend but don’t break, let the opponent hold the ball and don’t force any turnovers straight trash.

Fair enough

What about the strength of the offense? What about the offense scoring touchdowns? Our offense can't score enough touchdowns against good teams even though we're moving the ball. We score one touchdown against the Patriots we likely win.
Furthermore, we have invested more No. 1 picks on offense (Zeke, Cooper, Martin, Frederick, Smith) than we have on defense (B.Jones, LVE). Shouldn't we expect more from our higher draft choices and the unit on which most of those picks play?

Although this isn't the best D like ever, it's not terrible. The funny thing is, all they need to do is fix DT and S and we might be top 5. However, we just refuse. Very strange stuff. We'll sell the farm for a CB or WR, but won't pay a DT or S more than a plugged nickel. This is exactly backwards of the way of thinking that brings in super bowl contention.
They can’t get off the field when they need to. And when they do our Offense stalls. They shout themselves in the foot with penalties. Especially on 3rd down.

When we hold them to 3rd down and even long I just wait for the play. No pressure and they step up and hit a pass. Don’t matter if it’s 8 yards or 18. Lol.

The overrating was done by the GM and coaches. Paying Jaylon Smith big money was a mistake. Kris Richard has not brought about an improved secondary and nobody gets turnovers or makes splash plays
When was the last turnover?

Pretty sure it was against a 2-(and what
I think the defense is tired of the Def coordinator. Looks like the def has quit to me. The effort is dreadful.
0 Takeaways in 5 games. No impact plays.

The talent on Defense is over-rated. The coaching is horrible. The offense is suspect behind a green OC. All in all this is just not a good football team.

Defense is broke.

where was Quinn tonight?
We get beaten against good passing QB's. We get whipped against mobile QB's and we get massacred against both. I would trade half of our offensive starters for draft picks and trades for a whole new defense. I actually admired what Buffalo did to adjust and shut us completely down on offense. Much like several other teams have done this season, it becomes a work of art much more amazing than anything hanging in DC stadium.

This whole notion that players quit really is overblown. Guys hang their heads, that's it. Its common and happens all the time late in games.

Now for a instant last night, I actually felt sorry for Garrett. These players play horrid for him. They really play bad.

But at the end of the day, that is the big problem with Garrett. "HE DOES NOTHING". He basically gives his speeches, claps, and leaves it up to everyone else to do their jobs. There is NO plan, leadership, or button pushing. NO agenda, no tough leadership, nothing. We all see him just sit there on the sidelines all day long doing nothing but looking dumb and clap. He rarely interacts with his players at all.

He simply expects everyone do to their jobs. And when things go wrong he really has no clue whatsoever how to fix it or what to do. Garrett has no business at all being a HC in the NFL. Certainly no business running an offense in the NFL. I cant comment on the stupidity of other owners, but I would think that Garrett would never get a HC gig in the NFL again.

STOP GIVING THE PLAYERS EXCUSES! This team gave up in the 2Q. There is no “hanging your head” in the 2Q. I’m convinced this team gave up a long time ago. They don’t care about anything other than money, fame, fashion, and stats. That’s it. They don’t care about fans or championships. They don’t care about the brotherhood of football or winning. It’s nothing to them. It’s all made up by the fans. It’s all a facade. This team is a joke. Get with the program. Coaching is definitely a problem, but the players themselves are a huge problem as well. I’m not against trading away this team and rebuilding with a new HC.

The Bills scored 26. Which is not an astronomical number. So we needed to score 27. And for an NFL offense, 27 points should not be a bridge too far.

We scored 7 points in the game. And another TD in garbage time. And how many turnovers did we have? 3?

The defense has issues. But its the offense that has become real trash. You have to be able to score points. If you can't, that affects everyone's level of effort.

I don't think its a matter of quitting. So much as its just they are getting their butts kicked out there and the coaches have no answers.

We just aren't that good.

you're not a wolf. and this is a land of wolves...…………………………..sicario the cowboys are bunnies. bunnies can't beat wolves.

Honestly, this team hasn't accomplished enough against quality opponents to say they weren't trying. It's very possible that what we saw yesterday is just what they are.

There was no reason to quit against a Brees-less NO team when they scored 10 points. Even less reason to then quit against GB who went up 31-3 before garbage time late in the 3rd.

Yesterday's game is looking more like the baseline with the performances against cans looking like the aberration.

You wont see me sticking up for the Offense the last two games. But I know you understand the importance of strength of the opponent. Since you have no problem pointing it out when the offense goes off on a weak defense. That's pretty much the way of the NFL.

IF I were to break down the biggest issue its once they get in the redzone, they stall. Definitely the run game problems don't help there. But the passing game seems to stall as well. I don't see enough underneath routes or check down routes for the RB other then running out into the flat.

You must be talking to someone else.

Offensive players who have not quit......cooper, gallup, Cobb, zeke, Pollard and jarwin. Defensive players who have not quit......heath, quinn, Bennett, collins. All the rest of the 53 have quit.
