Absolutely. You instantly sign him and cut Patrick Watkins.

you sure about that? This is Al Davis, who used pick #4 on Heyward-Bey.

he is also the guy that talked jimmy out of trading the playmaker to him...we should be praising the guy.

..would you claim him and add him to the 53? I know someone will so I don't think you can wait and sign him after Week 1.

I would and I'm not a Longhorn fan in anyway.

* He's only 26, and at 6'1" 205 and very fast, he can help on Special Teams.

* The Raiders should hardly be considered a reliable source on whether or not a player has what it takes.

* The knock on him is that he really isn't a true safety or a true corner. In today's NFL, the nickelback and dimeback are essential members of your defense.

* If he sucks, you cut him, no big cap hit involved.

This league is full of players who made it big on their second chance. He isn't a lawbreaker (Matt Jones) or lockeroom cancer (Brandon Marshall). Take the chance on a talented kid. No risk with the exception it means we possibly expose Mike Mickens to other teams or we give up on a Courtney Brown or Pat Watkins.

Have at me.

He does suck, thats why he was cut. The guy is terrible in coverage.

He's a bust, but he's also better than Watkins.

Coverage isn't his problem. He's not a good tackler, the Raiders found that out rather quickly but still tried to make a strong safety out of him. He can help someone as a free safety or corner.

Has he already been cut?

I don't think it's fair to judge any player who's been in Oakland recently.

Huff had tremendous athletic ability. He might be worth taking a look at. Odds are there's nothing there, but it's not as though the 50th to 53rd players on our roster would be a great loss if one had to go in order to sign him.

I highly doubt Huff is getting cut.

The Giants are loaded at Wide receiver and if they release Sinorice Moss, I'd grab him in a second, we have no speed at receiver after Austin, and he's not that fast, Moss has blazing speed, and I think he'd make a great slot receiver and appears to be starting to get it in the NFL.

I think you have to look at him, if he's available. We obviously need help at the position and he could contribute on STs.

The usual answer I suppose. Don't give up to much but if it can be done relatively reasonable, I think you have to look.

That is the easiest call ever.

Even if it for one season you get a quicker player who is just as effective on special teams for the same level of suckitude at safety.

Huff might be a fit in the nickel or dime at least. But again, even if h isn't he hangs around a year til Hodge and other special teamers come back from injury.

If he'd make a great slot receiver as you suggest, why would a team that lost both veteran starting WR's cut him?

Answer- obvious

Obvious you have no grasp of the situation, that is what's obvious,.. it's a numbers games. The Giants, unlike the cowboys, actually drafted receivers the last four years to create depth and replace older aging receiver, where Dallas think drafting Qb's in the fourth round and making them into receivers or fantasy game show receivers that have already gone through the NFL training camps that can't make a team or sign Undrafted receivers that in four year haven't amounted to much, but so-called potential that can't stay healthy is the way to go. Where was the Terry Glenn replacement, where is the speed that stretches the defense to open thing up underneath for tightends and backs. Where was the T.O replacement. You had to trade picks to get Williams, and many fans complain about Williams without giving him a fair shake and think he's not even a number one. dallas spent higher draft picks on kickers and tighends the last three years than receivers. Do you think that's a smart GM when you knew your starting receivers were over thirty, I don't !!

The Giants have a ton of young receivers ready to take over, Moss is part of the numbers game, He's better than three on our roster now the way he's progressed this last year and it takes three years for a receiver to develop.

Answer- obvious for people that have a clue about football..

Sinorice Moss has caught 38 passes in 3 yrs...he averages just barely over 10 yds a catch for his career and has scored 2 tds...he averages less than 20 yds a kick return for his career. despite this blazing speed some claimed he had, he's never had a pass play longer than 27 yds.

He's no better than any of the WR's who will be on our roster after final cutdowns...

If he's progressed as much as you claim, they wont be cutting him...In fact one of the reasons they keep drafting WR's is because this guy didnt develop into anything.

Our receivers were so great last year after t.O that we had to go out at the the trade deadline and acquire one, are those the receivers you keep harping about that are so great on this team that seem to be injured every year and can't claim the number two spot, instead get it by default.

The Giants lost to a better team in the Eagles who will stretch defenses like no other team this year with what they have at wideout. Notice the Giants and Eagles drafted receivers over the last four years and Dallas hasn't. Do you think that's a coincidence...The Giants also like big receivers over smaller faster ones and knew their receivers were aging and were making plans to replace them the last four years, unlike Dallas. They knew Burress was an idiot, fined him 60 times and they were making plans the year before to replace him with Hixon. Dallas has team of number three receivers, the best of which is a seventh rounder in Crayton, and now were going to try to make him a number two, he is not. Hurd is injured again, Stanback is a bust. So our savior is Ogletree, he's not a slot receiver as some think. Maybe we can bring back Amendola or Holley, spares from day one and people thought Amendola was the second coming of Welker...LOL

Dallas needs two receivers with some speed...

This offense has one speedster, and that's Felix Jones, after that there's nothing of game breaking speed outside. Austin is not a game breaker and he'll be injured by week four, again.
