I'm not exactly with you. I'd rather we go get someone like Peters and give Smith a little more time to work on the fundamentals of hand placement before putting him out there. He can learn that while starting at LG, where mistakes are easier to overcome, and then switch to LT next year if he improves his fundamentals enough to where we can trust him at the position.
I'm just bracing for what I think they will do, not what I want them to do.
I'd rather have him continue to develop as a LT. We'll be in much better shape next year if he gets a year at LT under his belt. And good chance he's our starter next year.
Bring in Peters and we're better on the field this year, but worse off on the cap and Tyler's development. Peters is for a year that we're serious contenders. That got even *less* likely with Tyron going down.
First round pick we've got for the next 5 years. Start making the most of him.
