Can't argue with anything you've said here.
But I've always been a risk/reward type and I definitely believe reward outweighs risk here.
At the end of the day, I do, too.

I think that's likely, but it's not necessarily a given. If his legs have gone out, he very well could be completely done at 36. Or it could be a case where he plays well for 10 weeks and then his play trails off late when you need him most.
I agree, while the reports say he is in good shape, I would also be a little worried early that he gets a groin or hamstring tweak as he has not hit in awhile.
Where are these reports that he's in good shape? Word around the street? The guy wasn't in good shape at the start of last year. Why would anyone think that a year off and getting paid to NOT play would inspire him to be in game shape? Because Jethro at 24 Hour Fitness saw him bench 400lbs?

You mean BlindFaith does not have any Blind Faith?
See the link in the other thread. What you choose to do with that information is up to you.
It seems the only news you will accept about him is bad news.
I'd hardly deem a tweet from one of the biggest media shills in the dfw area "news". But you accepting it as that explains a lot.
But you'll accept bad news on him from over a year ago from a reporter of the team he didn't want to play for?
That sure seems fair...
Its a fact that he didn't show up to play.
Its a fact that the Patriots offered him more money and he still refused to play.
Its a fact that his contract was guaranteed.
Its a fact that he said he wanted to play in Texas.
Its a fact that the Pats kept him on the reserve/did not report list so he couldn't get his way. Is that the bad news you were talking about?
Or the comment on him being out of shape after he refused to explain himself?
I say even it's 3 million on a one year, last ditch effort by him, to play in his hometown, and possibly win a SB, what's the big deal?
Yes it's a 3 million dollar gamble, but what else, if only a one year deal? Lee is the top priority according to Jerry, so what's the risk? Everybody has already been paid and in actuality we could pay him 5 million.
We've paid far more for bums. Livings, Berd, the dude from GB with Parcells that got hurt immediately, the bum Barron that single handily cost us the skins game. Pay the dude before somebody like Denver, or Seattle, or even NE pay this man!
Why not do a 2 year deal with 2m upfront, vet min salary and 1.5m in incentives for games started and a 3m base for next year, non guaranteed. Basically 2yrs/7m.
You think you can count on him playing next year? He'll want that money up front.
Mickey is the biggest shill ever; but probably does have good info on this. THEN again the Boys might be using him to put pressure on Waters by making him think the boys are ready to walk away.Spags sez:
"And I’m also told they are convinced this dalliance with veteran guard Brian Waters is about done; that his reticence to play football after sitting out 18 months has them moving on and away."
