Yes. This roster is as good as any team in the league. The coaching is not.
What has Mike McCarthy shown in 4 years in Dallas, 17 years overall, that makes anyone think he would evolve and improve with another year? He is who he is, which is an average to good head coach. He is not elite, especially not in today's NFL.
McCarthy is a name coach that Jerry is comfortable with. He's the illusion of a top NFL coach.
They literally had 12 unsuccessful plays in a row today on offense. Where's the playcall that McCarthy knows will work against the defense? The money play he knows can get them out of a funk? I think he comes into a game with a decent enough plan but when the NFL-caliber coaches on the other sideline throw things at the Cowboys, he is clueless/helpless to do anything about it.
