If we fail to get past the divisional round should Mike McCarthy lose his job?

You're the one making the claim not me, prove it or be quiet.
Jerry tries, I just dont see the team winning any more superbowls in his tenure.............jerry runs a good organization here. just a little frustrated my team keeps losing....been a fan for 50 years....wish they can win one more..before its too late for me......go jerry..I apologize...jerry can do what he wants...he is the owner

So if I don't have the perfect name that you wanted to hear I'm not allowed to say MM should go which I can do by just looking at the results. Whatever.
No! You can't throw it out that you want a new coach and not say who or what kind. Look at this post as example
I get what you are saying.

It has to be someone who can call a modern offense and it has to be someone capable of adjusting to and punishing the defense when they take things away from you.

Usuaully I have some opinions on who that could be (right or wrong). I have no idea who that guy is now. Sean Payton was the hope before Denver got him last year. If the Rams decide to rebuild, I would throw a gaggle of draft picks to gte McVay. I don't know who else is out there that can take them to the next level. Dan Quinn is a lateral move IMO and if they made taht move, he better go find his new version of Kyle Shanahan (his OC in Atlanta for the Super Bowl run).

Head coach ideas:
Matt Campbell is an offensive guru IMO and he's trapped in college mediocrity in Iowa State (apologies Cyclones fans).

Ben Johnson? He'll be most team's #1 choice.

Bobby Slowik? That's quite the jump.I like it though.

Jim Harbaugh? Not an offensive guru but definitely a culture changer. He's a Jerry Jones-caliver egomaniac and Stepehn Jones will faint when he sees Harbaugh's contract demands.

No easy answers but can't keep McCarthy and then expect different results.
Saying you want a coach who gives good speeches means nothing.

Saying you want a coach who gives good speeches means nothing.
When did I say that?

Culture Changer means that. Culture, mental toughness, accountability. You must have it football.

We have the talent. We don't currently have the leadership or even strategist.

McCarthy will be fired at the end of the season and Dak will be sent packing. Mark my words.
Agree.

I’ve predicted this.

Mike only has one year left on his deal anyway.

Dak is a June cut. In March. Saves $$$$$ mega millions for the cap.

Late January - March will be interesting.

Let's trade all our players for a boat load of draft picks and start over.

Good debate but useless. Jerry wants him back and will give him more money. I would move on but for me it’s been my opinion from the jump. I feel like he’s a straight up liar from the time he was hired, and through the Kellen stuff and promises to run, which were more cya and not a true intention.

Won’t even bother to research but I’m sure we have most of the same stats and rankings as when moore was here, and we are threatening to have a worse record.

It just sorta feels like we're stuck with Dak stuck with this roster and we are what we are I mean what are we going to solve by paying Dak 60 million Micah 35 million and CeeDee 30 million? You're just paying more for the players you already have and hope things get better. Usually when you're stuck with a roster that can't win you fire the coach.
This year Daks contract is 26 million. With out an extention 60 million. My guess is they will extend him and he will take between 40 to 50 million hit. If they can't win this year they wont win with this roster. It won't matter what coach they bring in.

What's the difference? Jerry is still in charge? How many coaches do we need to go through for the same result?

The next coach will have the same issues if Dak is still under center.

Until the GM is fired, it doesn't matter who coaches. Hell, Belichick couldn't win here.

I'm not sure it accomplishes anything firing him. I doubt there are any upgrades available unless you think Belichick still has it.

I was watching the NY Jets press conference and how the owner announced he was keeping the Coach and GM onboard another year.

Like many teams, they were linked at the hip and a partnership. And therein lies our problem.

Switzer regime, crash, same GM. New OC Gailey, crash, same GM. Campo regime, crash, same GM. Garrett, and so on.....

Well we all know they aren’t getting past the divisional round, so you can change the if part, we know the answer, but the person who makes that decision probably doesn’t because just making the playoffs is the new standard, not winning the SB

Yes, what’s the point of bringing him back? He has taken the team as far as he can nothing has changed in 3 years
