Parcells' influence played a major role in redirecting this franchise at least back into a competitive state. We were a bumbling, directionless operation before he stepped foot into Valley Ranch.

Edit: Lest I forget -- the man took a Quincy Carter & Troy Hambrick duo to the postseason!
Quincy was a good QB...Hamrick probably had more yards than Pollard.
Also, I lost respect for Parcells when he allowed a player to throw a towel in his face with no consequences

Now this thread is funny. Belichick would not want to put up with a meddling owner/GM. He wants a say in personnel and you know Jerry would never stand for any of it. Makes no sense to have a hire like Belichick. Probably best options for Belichick would be Chargers, Falcons or Raiders and I wouldn't be surprised if it is Atlanta as could see Kraft and Belichick agreeing to part ways with Belichick only took a job in the NFC.

Jerry and Belichick are very close. He wouldn't need much of a reason.

McCarthy had better beat Green Bay, lol.

Dallas should kill the Packers, so no worry this week.

Jerry and Belichick are very close friends. In fact, Belichick has old ties here, including a strong relationship with Staubach and his family.

The rumors are already swirling and Jerry wants to make a splash. I hope McCarthy and DQ coach like their lives depend on it.
You must be on drugs. Jones already made it clear that he's happy with McCarthy and I would bet money that even if McCarthy got fired that Belichick would NEVER work for Jones.

Harbaugh just got 125 mil to stay in Mich. He's not worth that in NFL.
I must have missed the news then, when did he sign with U of M? He is worth whatever an owner will pay him, and although you and I think he will stay in Michigan signals are suggesting otherwise

I think that there’s a chance. Jerry is desperate for a Super Bowl and there are several indications and rumors that Belichik has softened in his need for absolute roster control.

Parcells did it.

I’d be down for it. I want a Suoer Bowl!

I'm on board.

The talk in Boston is that with his age, he can no longer handle both GM and HC duties.

So if he can swallow the control freak in him, it would work out. Same thing Parcells did. Parcells had a lot of influence on the moves but also deferred to the Jones Team.

Makes for a better personnel dept. People butting heads and challenging each other.

He also gets a veteran QB again.

What I would enjoy is I assume we're going 3-4 if Belichick comes onboard.

We need more of that Parcells big man roster again. The team that is pushing people around, and not being pushed around.

But again.... still think Coach Mac and DQ can do this.
I think 3-4 OLB is what Parsons is made for.

Bill Belichick would never agree to having ownership pick his coordinators. He would not like the owner having pressers after games. He certainly would not take game day strategies from the front office.

Long story short, Bill isn't coming to Dallas.

Antonio Bryant was bipolar, which they pretty much knew when they drafted him. Parcells tried to connect with him, and it didn't work out. Bryant was often completely out of control.

I wonder where he is today.

Belicheck isn't a good coach. Nobody gives a crap what he does or where he goes lol. And it's laughable to think he's too good for Jerry.

Not a chance and I wouldn’t want him to be. He’s old and wants total control but the problem with the Pats isn’t coaching but talent. He is a great coach but he’s not a great GM

Interesting scenario but it would completely undo/change everything the Cowboys have been doing for the last 3 years. Would they want a "fresh start" at this point?
