You guys dont sound too confident here in Cowboy land. I'm not here to start any crap or get kicked out of the forum, but I have to be honest with you and ask this question, why the negativity? Your DB's have been burnt in the past by the so called lousy eagle Wr, Baskett 87 yds for TD. Freddie Mitchell. Honestly, I have to say it's Romo, this guy cannot handle pressure, and I can prove it. And I truely believe this is your main worry. Westbrook will always do his thing, and I have to say that it's up to the eagles offensive line giving McNabb time, and the DB's and Defensive line getting pressure that will decide this game. Both fan sides are pumped up for this game, but I am noticing a much more favorable amount of worrying here then in the Eagles forum.
Baskett is the only player I wish well for on that team. Gotta rep the local boy. We don't put very many in the NFL

finally an honest cowboy fan.

Reid is 6-3 at TX Stadium, including winning the last 2.

I believe we're DUE for a win this time around, FWIW.

We could start by stopping them on their first drive and scoring on ours. Traditionally when we play the Iggles it's always the other way. Bottom line, we need to get ahead early and force them into a catch upgame where they have to take shots down field and allow us to take shot at McNabb. When they have to play behind the dink and dunk with Westbrook is wiped out of their game and mcNabb has to take chances. The last 4 years they start out the seaonwith this great top 5 offense for the first 4-5 games and then teams start figuring them out, taking shots at McNabb and putting him on the injury report. We need to make this happen in week 2. Get up on them early, contain Westbrook and take shots at McNabb. Nothing brilliant here. Force them to have to play out of their comfort zone which is their dink and dunk and playing aggressive on D to take their opponents out of their offenzive comfort zone. Felix Jones and Witten will be key this game as they will be the common counter to Phillies over redundant blitzing. Phillies secondary isjust as good as ours so the short stuff is going to be important. F.Jones, Barber and Witten.

Theres two things you need to know:

A. I fight commies. I hate em/
B. If Romo is on, your team is done.

Actually, I'll amend that to a third.

C. WHen Im drunk; I win. I defeat Commies like you've never seen. Run away.,

I think your secondary is over-rated, you fail to stop the pass in the big games. And the eagles could have the best secondary with Samuel added and keeping sheppard. This DB allpro combination could be the key this year on D along with Brown, Dawkins, and Quintin Michael, and the LB's have improved with Bradley, Gaither, Gocong added.

you gave up 137 yds to steve smith in game 15 and 104 yds rushing to Portis in game 16. Kevin Jones for crying out loud had 92

Overrated last year, yes. This year-nope. We limited Derek Anderson to just a little over 200 yards. And this was WITHOUT Newman.

Oh-Lito still isn't happy. With Asante taking over his LCB position(and full time), I would be unhappy too.

The Carolina QB had a mere 200 or so passing yards, limiting them to only 13 pts.

So what's your point?

Lito was injured alot and should keep his mouth shut and play the 76% of plays he's getting. They played the Dime last week too which was new to the D.

My point is I still think your secondary has not proven itself, it was your offense that carried you last year. You scored over what 105 points in the first 3 games. Thats my point

Noone's denying the Eagles have a very good team. I believe I myself have said on other threads many times how Reid did a fantastic job rebuilding this team since going to that SB.

This is an NFCE matchup-they're always tough. Even the Skins play tough in their matchups.

We'll see how everything turns out, but hopefully we're DUE for a win, especially after the Eagles keep coming to our house and spanking us.

my honest prediction if things go the way I see it needs to go will be Eagles 24-13

:star: Oh really, and you expect things to go how? Listen, just because you want to blitz constantly and will, does not mean you will effectively. Other than Trent Cole no one on your team strikes any fear in me pass rush wise from your DL to your LB's. Flozell takes Trent Cole to school so forget him. You gonna CB blitz from time to time because you will have to. Your front 7 is not capable of standing up to Dallas' OL and boy can Cricket, Witten and Barber pick up blitz's when required to. When those CB's start having to blitz that's when T.O and Witten burn you guys. You keep your secondary back and Barber and Jones through the running game and outlet passes are gonna move the chains.

Our offense is to complete on every level of the field. Bottom line is that we will score and much more than you Iggle. You guys are always a challenge and always will be. You're going to have a very good year too if McNabb stays healthy but this is Dallas' year and it is what it is. A good solid team with a couple weapons (The Eagles) versus a dominant/dynamic, balanced team (The Cowboys). Emotions aside, we are the better team and the spread will not stay at us only by 2.5, they will pop it up by Saturday to 5. We win 24-13. On top of which, you guys keep saying we are unproven. We're the NFC East Champs, I say you guys have to prove you can still play. You guys no longer own this division.
