If we're not gonna fix the Defense why not go all in on Offense?

5 out of the last 7 first round draft picks have gone to the offense: 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2016

Only Claiborne (near bust) in 2012 and Jones (jury still out) in 2015 have been selected on defense.

I'm not complaining -- the offense has been consistently good to great, however, the fact that the defense, on average, has been bad over that time period is not a surprise -- they've overloaded on offense.

It's time to focus on the defense.

What you posted is true about 1st round but if you expand the list to rounds 1 to 3, we've spent more picks on defense in that time span. So it's not like we haven't been trying. It's just that we've drafted poorly on defensive players.

Seriously I'm at the point that as long as Maranelli is here he's never gonna stand on the table for defensive talent. He likes try hard guys like Nick Hayden. Plus Stephen Jones is not gonna sign any premeire defensive pass rusher.

Why not just double down on the offense by upgrading the wr position and the TE position. Add another dynamic Receiver opposite of Dez that requires a double team and get a TE like OJ Howard in the draft and make it almost impossible for teams to matchup with you.

Yeah we may give up some points but we will avg 30 ppg.

Wrong answer....current offense scored 31 points that would of put most teams with (GOOD DEFENSES) in the win columns .....unlike us.

Well first look at that last pass play to cook that beat dallas, and you should see the problem isnt with the players,
it is the coaches.
3rd and 19 15 seconds left and marinelli only rushes 3 guys, and has no one man to man on cook !
Even with an all pro defense if you do that rodgers will make the play.

Look at the spike play and time mgmt for offense, and not running on many downs , not going on 4th and 1 etc.
The game would have been won with better coaching.

Dallas will have the same coaches next year, and even adding more good players wont help when they get in the
playoffs against well coached teams.
