Size, smarts, small football colleges, and arm strength mostly was what I focused on.

I have no idea why it was insulting.

Thats cool.

So whats your take on Sam Hurd? The skill set of the next TO or Randall Williams? ;)

Amen to that! He was absolutely amazing! In fact that game was not a loss to me,..it was the biggest damn win we've had in years. Some people are just so damned skeptial though and couldn't see a positive even if it bit them on the nose.
:lmao2:

Unreal.

I don't know, which one has more face mask penalties.

Add that drop on 4th and 2 by you know who, and this game looks entirely different. Not sure we win, but imagine how it would have been had Romo brouhgt us back to 19-14 instead of what happened.

Romo said that int on the screen where JJ was blatently held was stupid... was looking for a flag but still unacceptable. unfortunately last night was not a good game to learn much about his overall play because he was under fire from the start and coached poorly ... thrust into the fire with hot pokers and no assistance from the running game or our defense.

Sadly the common concensus is Tuna screwed up not starting him vs houston if not sooner (ie. start the season). That is the only area left to debate as Tony and the team deserves the rest of the season to see if we have a gamer or a backup for next year... all the chatter won't speed his evaluation.

Yea....right....I'm blind  ...of course I'll give him a chance...it's not up to me anyway, but the only potential I saw last night was Quincy Carter potential...a guy who could move out of the way of the pass rush, but a guy who still made idiotic decisions under pressure.

Aikman's rookie year was tough from the wins and losses, from his learning curve, and mostly from a lousy offensive design under Shula...but Aikman stood in there and took the hits or threw the ball away...he didn't panic and throw the passes Romo threw last night.

I still say Romo could be a solid backup in time, a Jason Garrett type, but he's not the answer at QB...just an opinion like any other one...but I don't see what you see.

I concur with your assessment...seems like some are desparate to make him something that he's not (yet anyway).

Clint Storenor, Quincy Carter, Anthony Wright, Ryan Leaf, Drew Henson, Chad Hutchison, Vinny T, Drew Bledsoe,,,,NOW its time for Romo to step up and get the JOB done or be added to the list of has been Cowboys QB

TIme will tell...

misreading a defense and throwing an int because you missed something or didn't see someone, throwing an int because you thought the wr was going one way and he went another...those I can live with in a young QB.

I have no real problem with Tony's first or last int for the long td run...on the first, he tried to throw through Strahan who was right in front of him. on the last, he threw out and the wr cut in.

I have a serious problem with the screen pass INT...that was a *****, panic throw...period...he's being chased, he sees three blue jerseys between him and the back...the guys were practically shoulder to shoulder, and he threw the ball to them??? I never ever saw Aikman make a play like that...and let's not forget that the pass rush Romo faced was without USI and without Arrington...and those 3 int's all came in 1 half.

I still think Bledsoe should start until we're either buried after this road trip or back in the hunt...once buried, there's plenty of time to play Romo.

I could be wrong, but I didn't like what I saw last night from Romo...the kid can run away very well, but I don't like what I saw from him throwing the ball.

Start him and find out about next year, but we won't be in the hunt for a playoff spot very long this year.

Well that's where I disagree Wayne. Bledsoe is a waste. He's been a waste the for most of the last 4 seasons. We were going nowhere with him. He's way too easily defensed.

Time to let Romo play and see what he can do.

This really wasn't a solid playoff team anyway.

As I do believe that Romo gives us a better chance for winning now, I don't believe he is our QB of the future.
We will have to go out and get a Vet next year or draft a top QB . Not sure T.R. is the answer.

I "know" football I've been watching it for years. I can tell after 30 minutes that Romo is flat out no good. [/Bledsoelover]

Once burried, there's plenty of time to be burried again? I'm not sure I see the point.

As a Commander fan, I was actually impressed with Romo. He does have potential. Sure he threw 3 picks in one half, but what did you xpect. He's practically a Rookie and he made "rookie" mistakes. From what I saw, Dallas was a miscue away from making that game interesting last night. That drop by Owens was critical and the pick that Romo threw that went the other way for a TD was a 14 point exchange. You guys have a reason to be excited even though you lost.

Romo has the potential, and for me, thats a scary thing.

You guys win, you have turned over the franchise to a guy who has never started a game in the NFL. Lets hope he has some game experience playing madden on XBOX that translate to the field.

Ummm...EVERY QB started a game when he had ZERO experience in the NFL....EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.

How else should he get the experience? NFLE doesn't count does it? I don't think so.

How the heck else is he supposed to get experience?

true dat.

bledsoe has lotsa experience - and we have lotsa experience with him. but too much of BOTH are just reeeeeal baaaaaaad.

when do we call it a day, cut our losses, and move on to something that at least has THE POTENTIAL to work out?

Well some of these knuckleheads think it's suppose to happen through osmosis apparently.

"Osmosis" was the word that I was going to use as well....but wasn't sure if some could understand it. :)

Nothing like a honest outsider. It's sad when Skins fans see his potential more than some Cowboys fans:banghead: .

No sir.

How will the Heels be this year?
Incredible. I can't wait. I literally think that you could halve our roster and field two top 25 teams.

It's great to have anticipation for basketball season to get me through having to watch them on the football field. Though this (http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlotte/15837440.htm) is a glimmer of hope...
