If you could have 1 former Cowboys player for the rest of the year in his prime...

Over confidence in his side arm delivery.

If I were him I wouldn't have that much confidence in it.

BTW, see the QB thread. There's something there for ya! ;)

I would have to go with Haley. He and Ware would be tough to handle. I would also love to have Bullet Bob Hayes!

Here's an odd one for the sake of conversation...Stepnoski. Would be a HUGE upgrade over what we currently have at center. Smaller? Yes. Smarter and better? Without a doubt. Would make the whole line instantly better.

All things being equal Roger would be just fine. He would be the least of my worries. Our D has been put in bad situations all year by bad offensive plays. Look at that lame int Bledsoe threw toward the end of the 1st half. He way over threw Glenn. And that tipped pass against Washington. How does a QB who is that tall get so many balls batted down at the line?

That kind of thing puts the D in a bad spot.

Putting the D in a bad spot is when they get the ball deep in your own territory.. I'm more worried about 30+ yard TD passes cause we let guys run free or we dont get deep enough.

But if you're convinced we wouldnt have to worry about those sorts of things with Roger (perhaps because he would guide us to insurmountable leads even with players he never played with before) so be it.

It's hypothetical, so it's not worth arguing about it.

Not arguing. Just discussing. No offense was intended.

No doubt it would be Woodson. If we had him back there in coverage, we would be the number one defense in the league with Roy helping out on the run. Tiki would not have gotten 100 yards nor would Ron Dayne have his best run of the year.

No. 28 for sure this year.

I saw Roger play as well. As a matter of fact, I'm watching Super Bowl VI in it's entirety as we speak and it's great to see him play again.

Given the fact that we have good, WRs, RBs and a good QB I will stray from my heart and avoid the triplets. Im torn the Oline could really use a guy like Erik Williams in his prime, thoughts of him handling Reggie White always make me smile, but Deion was one of the best biggest game changers to ever wear a star. Roy could sit in the box all game and wreak havoc while he shuts down his side of the field. On the other hand watching Haley fly pass opposing Tackles was always fun and sorely missed. Id have to say E though, losing Adams was a huge blow and he and Allen would open up some huge holes for JJ and help give Drew the time he needs to make plays.

I could never imagine anyone with more of an amazing impact than Roger Staubach. He's the man of the ages.

I'll turn off my sig. :p

Anyway... I'm thinking that we need Daryl Johnston instead of Michael Irvin.

DEION SANDERS!

there will never be a better PUNT RETURNER, SHUT DOWN CORNER, and sometimes used WR!

That is who I was gonna say to. Imagine Deion on one side and T-New on the other. We would get alota coverage sacks that is for sure.

I would take Troy Aikman, hands down. Roger was my favorite until Aikman came along. Roger was fantastic for comebacks, but sometimes his play contributed to why we needed comebacks. Don't misunderstand me, Roger is in my top 5 QB's all-time, I just think he was more erratic than Aikman.

Considering the fact that we would have to keep the same coaching staff..cough...cough...zimmy...I will stick to the offensive side of the ball.

I will go with Rayfield Wright since HH already took Erik Williams.

Emmitt Smith or Larry Allen. Any other lineman wouldn't be a bad pick but Emmitt would be up there for sure.

Neon Deion in his prime.

If you can only have one player, you need someone versatile. No one as versatile as Sanders in his prime. Defense, offense and special teams.
