If You Had One "Super Power", What Would It Be?

I think the best representation of a super fast being was a show in the 80's (I think) called Automan. It wasn't a particularly good show, but IIRC, he and his car were made of light. Probably created on a computer or something, I don't remember it very well because, like I said, it wasn't a good show. But being made of light, he wasn't subject to the same laws of physics that someone with mass would be.
Okay, I just Googled Automan, and it turns out I was right about pretty much everything, including how bad it was. According to Wikipedia, they only made 13 episodes, airing just 12 of them. lol

The Flash (in comics) has a fictional physical and associative ability that negates injury. First, he employs a suit that manages heat friction build-up. Second, The Flash has the ability to manipulate his body's molecules--allowing him to 'phase' through physical objects.

Case in point: Overall, Justice League was a disappointment for me but it did highlight Barry's phasing ability during the awaking of Kal-El from his death like coma. Barry left his feet long enough to electrify the Mother Box, which jumpstarted Clark's body metabolism. He was traveling too fast to not avoid colliding with the Kryptonian birthing chamber wall, so he phased his body through the wall.

It is one of the reasons why my super power preference is The Flash's super speed over Quicksilver's. The former has fictionally explainable safeguards for offsetting injury than simple fantastical velocity.

Interesting. I definitely can't pretend to be an expert on The Flash, so good info there.

Yeah, I really wanted to like Justice League, and they hit on some thing, but for me, it just fell short. Though, admittedly I though Ben Affleck did a pretty good job at Batman.

My opinion, the worst part of it was the bad guy. It was pretty comical.

Always thought communication. By that I meant the ability to read, understand, speak, use any language current, alien, past and dead. Including music, math, computer language and so on. Could be a prodigy in music, math and any language I guess.

However I also think it would be cool to have the ability to basically transform into an electric state.
By that I mean you could travel through any electrical wires, phone wires, internet wires. You could go into a computer connected to the internet, travel to another computer across the world and come out of that computer. So basically you could travel through a computer to smack a troll on another computer lol. But you could do the same through telephone lines or electric lines.
I would also say that could let you do electrical impulses into someones nervous system and so on.

The movie fell way short for me and I was really rooting for it. I am a Marvel and DC comics fan, so I keep hoping DC will elevate their theater product to Marvel's level. However, it has been hit-and-miss for DC in my opinion, with Justice League being a miss.

At best, I thought Affleck did okay playing Batman and Bruce Wayne. I did not see him nearly reach the quality of Christian Bale's dual performance in the Nolan films. Oddly enough, I did like Affleck's cameo work in Suicide Squad.

Personally, I would have gone with another Apokolips new god given the chosen storyline for the movie. Desaad would have been a better choice I think. Perhaps even Orion.

That said, I thought Steffenwolf was a prime League adversary for an introductory Darkseid chapter. Ciarán Hinds voicework was not excellent but pretty good in my opinion. I did think the CGI quality of his onscreen character was a touch off. Kinda messy. Not clean like The Hulk in the Avengers movies.

Overall, the antagonist was not the issue for me. The wishy-washy script and presentation was. Barry Allen was the prime example of wishy-washy. For me, Cyborg and Aquaman were above average decent for the movie and I have zero problem with Gia Gadot's Wonder Woman throughout the movie. And I have made my opinion known about Ben Affleck.

Comical, for me, was Henry Cavill's Superman. Ditching his darker blue suit for the lighter blue version. Same for the music backdrop of Kal-El's mini-fight with the League at his memorial. The whole 'Truth and Justice' pre-speech before fighting Steffenwolf for the first time. The lame 'I want to die again' joke after prying apart the Mother Boxes (did like WW's 'I work with children' observation though). Heck. I think my best feelings about Superman in the movie was his time with Lois Lane, seeing his mother, and his race with The Flash lol.

I gotta start thinking happy thoughts about the sequel, although I doubt I can jinx it anymore than I possibly could. :(

Not to nitpick, but since you wrote the same thing twice, I just wanted to clarify that his name is Steppenwolf, like the band. ;)

But I agree with most of your opinions here. I think they need to darken up the costumes too, especially Supe's.

Ouch! Thanks. I type Steppenwolf incorrectly more often than anyone might think. :muttley:

Some disagree but I thought Kal-El's uniform was perfect in Man of Steel. The style was very post-Crisis of Infinite Earth. It grinds my gears Zack Snyder or anyone else got away from it.

I agree, that uni was darker, and more masculine...though I know nothing of Crisis of Infinite Earth, except that the title seems like it should be Crises of Infinite Earth. :D

My typos are out of control!!! Should have been Crisis On Infinite Earths. No 'e' in Crisis though. ;)

After really thinking about it...I would like the power to heal people with a touch. I'd make my living from donations and just spend my time healing people.

What if healing took a toll on you? Say, it took 10 years off your life?
