If you had to fire one of these two today, and only one, who would you choose?

1) Wade Phillips
2) Jason Garrett

I'd choose 1, (although I think they both need to go, NOW) but the failure of "Mr Fix It's" defense to stop team after team from driving the length of the field for game winning/tying drives, coupled w/ his obvious disconnect from the OC, make it an easy choice for me.

On a side note, could someone explain to me why Norv Turner was such a bad choice again?

Wade. Smart, disciplined football has to come from the top. If we have a good HC, then he'll indentify the weak areas and fix it.

If I HAD to pick i'd send Garrett packing.

The defense is playing good football and everyone complains about the Giants game but what do you expect when you turn the ball over 4 times?

We gave the Giants 10 points they didn't even have to work for.

A pick 6 by Romo and a Fumble by Felix cost us 10.

The other 2 turnovers lead to points.

With all that said Jason Garrett has the #1 ranked Offense in the league right now I believe.

Bottom line is if this team stops killing themselves than we can go along ways but we all know that we wont stop turning the ball over and committing penalties.

Dallas can't get out of their own way.

Neither. not mild season. If we fire Wade, Garrett would get promoted to HC and possibly get the nod for next season also..... Just let season play out...

YOu cant do it during the season, but If I had a gun to my head.

Wade Phillips without question.

His attitude is like the plague and it is bad for this team.

.

And the defense ranks 23rd in yards allowed and last in the NFC with 4 takeaways. This after playing 3 of the worst offenses in the league.

Its one thing to point at the offense and "turnovers", but the defense has come up very small there with takeaways too, going back to all of last year.

I fire Wade only because we have seen first hand how bad the team is with him at the "helm", but personally I think Garrett is already in over his head right now as an OC and I doubt it improves much. Maybe the team will have actual practices with him or something though.

Wade will be dismissed after the season, and a Gruden type personality brought in. Garrett will never be the HC of those Cowboys. Just an overpaid coordinator who calls idiodic plays for Romo to screw up.

Answer me this: Would you rather be an average team (which we are) in the new Dallas Palace, or would you rather be highly competitive in the old Tx Stadium?

Thankfully I don't have to and if it were my call they both would finish out the season and based on the outcome of the season I would either retain or fire these coaches or any coach that was on the team.

Wade, its isnt even debatable either.

Our offense is ranked at the top of the league despite the injuries to three very key players and the QB being in a funk for most of the season so far.

Defense, not many excuses for it.

#2.

It's too bad Garrett didn't take the Baltimore job a couple of years ago. We'd probably have Cam Cameron, who did a great job with Joe Flacco. He might even listen to the head coach who chose him instead of the owner.

If we tank this year, the whole group should get flushed anyway in favor of someone like Holmgren, so paying RJ all that money to stay would prove to be a waste.

But I'm still not convinced both #1 and #2 can't get it done. It's a long year, and many an NFL team has improved from the first five games of the year.

Neither, but eventually it would have to be Wade. The biggest problem with this team has been, and continues to be, penalties and turnovers. Yes, the players have to execute, but as I've said before, it's the responsibility of the head coach to make sure that they do, and if he can't get the players to respond, it's his responsibility to find other players that will.

And so far, he hasn't had any improvement in this area at all.

The defense is getting better each week. It has to be a little tiresome to have to stop the opponents offense time and again just to watch your own offense shoot itself it the foot over and over. The defense stopped KC not once but twice when KC had great field position in OT. The defense saved us in OT.

P.S. I would can Wade.

The defense was the main reason we had an overtime to begin with.

I don't think I would give any props to a Defense that "held" the worst team in the NFL to 20 points and "forced" overtime.

Fence walker. ;)

If I had to pick one, it be the guy at the top who took the job to be HC but now only seems to want the responsibility of being the DC. Very weak..........

I would fire Wade today if it was up to me!!!! This team is going nowhere fast. The defense let one of the worst offenses in the NFL drive the length of the field to tie it up at the end. Hey, Mr. "Fix It" your defense is broke!!!!:banghead:
