The problem with threads like this is that they group warranted criticism with unwarranted dislike. Everyone who says anything critical of Dak is somehow a, "hater".

I like Dak, but I also recognize that he's a limited QB at this time. He's largely hit or miss.

You mean Dallas fans are like idealistic Eagle's fans who pretend like they have more class... Key word there "idealistic."

I'm a realist.

I realize there can't be a pro bowler at every position in the cap era.

Dak is also young, and not yet through his third year.

Can we judge him after the playoffs are over?

No.

Cowboy fans are like idealistic, crybaby Eagles fans...
I have been judging him since high school. He has always had the same problems that he has today. I don’t need a couple more games to know that he is not even an average QB at this level.

By the way, everyone, how did those pedigree, dime-a-dozen white quarterbacks fare this year?

Those guys are the kinds of players you want on this team.. you know, the Wentz's and Eli Manning's of the world.

Both losers, this year.
I like you for your avatar. I had a scheduled interview with HST three days after his suicide. It took a year and a half to score it. When I was in journalism...
My heart was so broken. Not for me... but for the man that got me into the business I adore. Although I totally understand it: He was miserable.
And don't worry... he's going to get his homage.

That is awesome.

I didn't know much about HST (except for vague depictions of him in the movies) until I got into journalism, or fell into it.

But I really love that guy. If you like HST, I suggest watching the "Buy the Ticket; Take the Ride" documentary.

Not for everyone, but if you're a journalism nerd and HST fan it's great.

I loved how he just didn't conform, and lived life his own way like his journalism.

I think as a fanbase we must support Dak, why not ? Ok of course he's far from perfect he's a very hit & miss QB but 98% of us know the only OC or HC he's had since he's been a pro hasn't done him any justice by far and that's an understatement. I think we all agree on that. The guy is gritty as they come and more than not he WINS.. period. That's the goal.. albeit he has flaws in his game most gurus and living room experts alike would say major career crippling flaws so to speak. In the end the kid wins ball games, winner of two NFC east crowns in three full season's of starting, same as the great Romo did in his first three years at the helm, but most of all the kid is durable as hell, something you can't put a price on. He makes frustrating mistakes that make you want to choke the in laws, but then he's clutch in most games then I love him again. Some think hell will freeze over before Dak gets a ring, me personally I seen a rookie go blow for blow with Aaron "One of the GOATS" Rodgers in his first playoff game, and one sweet toe drag from a win. It's football it happens. Consistency is key in the NFL and Dak is consistent in winning, the W/L record does not lie. No matter how many in house anti-Dak haters that surface just to point out his shortcomings yet deny the accomplishments im sorry to inform you, but the owner of your favorite team will live and die with Prescott unwavering, same way he did with Romo. Jerry's history has shown nothing otherwise, he will ride this Dak train until the cows come calling home so you guys might as well jump on board.

He’s ok, no ability to throw receivers open her, not able to see the complete field, doesn’t audible or told not too and also no pocket presence. He’ll do but we aren’t winning the Super now unless everyone else steps up and keeps him frommmakong any mistake.

Perfect post. Couldn't be put any better.

I am a huge Dak Prescott fan, but guess what? I recognize he needs to see the field a lot better (and quicker), he needs better throwing mechanics, and he needs to get rid of the ball faster.

But I am not a Dak hater. What drives me crazy about him is his inconsistency. He misses a guy running wide open, but look at the two throws to Gallup today. The 31 yarder on 3rd and 12 and the TD toss couldn't have been put in a better spot.

Prescott has shown he can make these types of throws. What he hasn't shown is the ability to make them consistently. As long as he keeps winning, I don't have an issue with his play, but the big question is can he lead us to a title?

These posts are asking for trouble.
Dak is a winner, but he has limitations with his accuracy and his anticipation. I believe both will improve over time, but it is very unlikely, almost impossible to imagine, that he will ever be a passer like Aikman or Romo.

That said, I love Dak as my QB. He’s a winner, and he has already proven that he makes plays instead of blowing it at crunch time. I was also a Romo fan, but I’ll take Dak and what he’s accomplished so far over everything Romo ever did. At crunch time for a playoff birth or inthe playoffs before the non-catch, Tony folded like an accordion.

Plenty of revisionists like to claim he never had Great teams, but that’s garbage. He was the QB of the #1 overall seed that lost in the first round. If Dak’s deficiencies don’t improve, and if he starts losing the critical games because he turns it over at crunch time instead of leading game winning drives, then I’ll be ready to move on, but not now.

To be honest, I'm not directing this post at you (or others like you).

Aha you outed yourself with “white”. What’s that gotta do w anything

:huh::huh::huh::huh::huh::huh::huh:

But I see what you’re trying to get at, just be careful down that road.

There was another poster who kept hinting around to that recently. His user name was from a movie. Unreal nothing to do with that at all.
