Im seeing a lot of fans “relieved” that the defense should shoulder the blame for this loss as opposed to lumping Dak in there as well.

He played a bad game. The lazy will look at the stat sheet and see he threw for over 300 yards and the ints were the fault of the receivers.

He was inaccurate on several deep passes (got CD concussed).

Threw that horrific backwards pass instead of throwing it away

Led 0 Td drives in the first half against a team missing most of their secondary.

Sucks that we always have to mention if it was his fault or not lol

To your point about guys missing in the secondary, I hope NOBODY ever again thinks that we're going to carve up a team because they have backups in, the only time backups get carved up is when WE put them out there on defense, I swear other teams backups look all-pro against us

The offense played like crap in the first half. No other way to put it. Then after a good defensive play by the Lions, we're down 27-9 to start the 2nd half. From that point on, you have to get stops in order to come back. Dallas managed to get it to within 3, but the defense was non existent in the 4th. The first half killed us.

I found it amusing watching Dak tell Ferguson that he has to hold on to that ball. Two plays after Dak throws it backwards.

We all know full well the defense isn't good. It's why I don't understand why Dak and the offense get a free pass for being anemic at the start of the game.

Five field goals...means your offense sucks but you have an awesome kicker.

This is how silly QBR is. "Jared Goff's QBR against the Dallas Cowboys in their Week 14, 2025 matchup was 45.3, with a strong completion rate (73.5%) and 309 yards, but only 1 touchdown and 0 interceptions". So they are acting like the team scoring on running plays somehow diminishes his contributions.

Yet passer rating is 111.0

Based on the performance can anyone really say that the QBR ranking between bad & disastrous is accurate? I would certainly hope not.

Goff threw for 309 yards, 200 being after the catch.

Dak threw for 376 yards, 124 being after the catch.

So go ahead and give credit to Goff because our defense can not tackle.

the claim is, “Dak them back” in the second half, nobody else did anything and it was the defenses fault.

That was complete buster coverage by Detroit’s defense on the Flournoy TD, otherwise the game would have been completely out reach. That was a give me TD by Detroit’s defense, the absolute worst defensive play of the game by any team.

Dak also through the first pick of the second half, staring down Pickens, allowing the CB to break and knock it out and get an INT in scoring range. Goff didn’t throw an INT.

Detroit’s FG kicker was not setting records in terms of distance.

Goff has also gotten his teams farther in the playoffs and his defense was absolutely slaughtered last year when he went into the playoffs. His whole defense was basically down to third stringers and every position.

Dak can play well under pressure — occasionally.

That’s not ‘hate’ — that’s why every defensive coordinator loves playing him in January.

I am not defending Dak, but this everything in the world is Dak's fault and lets just dump everything we ever said stuff is just childish.

against detroit. our defense got raped, multiple times to the tune of 44 points. we scored 30 and that should be enough and the points weren't garbage as it was 30-37 with about 4 minutes to go....then they just shoved it down our throat with a brilliant drive against this hapless defense. in 2 minutes.

we couldn't run the ball. in fact we only ran the ball 24 times for average of 3.7 yards..., 3 times it was Dak. RBs averaged 3.6 yards....most of the time we were in 2nd and long situation. Williams had two long runs of 11 yards each, one in the 3rd and 1 in the 4th. I am not cherry picking, but that means he averaged 2.8 yards per carry. that's inconsistent and formula for disaster.

CD left the game at a crucial time unfortunately. Pickens decided he is going half speed. and Flournoy, the 4th, now 3rd WR on the roster became a star and go to guy. we have to stop fumbling the ball. with a 10-6 game and driving, Fergi fumbled yet again. this is his 7th in the past 25. and three times this year. drive killers.

and Eberflus had no answer for their jumbo package with Skipper. we were their b!tches and they did what they wanted with ease.

so Dak did enough, the rest of the team didn't do enough. this time around I mean the tackles were atrocious. twice the DEs just marched in literally UNTOUCHED for a sack.

so not everything was perfect. we still were in the game within one score with 4 mionutes to go. he had 350+ yards passing. this loss I wouldn't put on him.
