If you were McCarthy, would you resign with Dallas or go to another team?

If I were McCarthy, I would end my professional relationship with Jerry Jones with a note that read:

"Dear Jerry. Thanks for the opportunity but I am a large man. It has been uncomfortable sitting in that side kiddie chair you put me in beside your war room throne. I cannot take it anymore, Jerry. You have constantly kept blood from circulating to my brain, I mean, legs.

Sincerely,

Big Mike"

PS You suck.

I would stay in Dallas, the Bears is one of the worst jobs in football

I actually think this is a far better question to ask than 98% of the crap posted on CZ. MM would definitely land another NFL HC gig somewhere. But he's on the down trajectory of his career. I couldn't imagine him coaching a SB winning team at this point.

I think he would jump at the Bears job, if offered. Historic franchise and most think they have a guy that will be a franchise QB in place.
The Bears job is a bad job, worse ownership than here and you think we're stuck in the past the Bears are stuck in WW2. Its a much worse situation than here.

If MM could get the Bears job, he wouldn’t have to deal with Jones’ incompetence & interference, and he wouldn’t have a much better upside.
I would 100% go to another team. first Jerry won't pony up more money. he spends average on coaches.
Jerry tends to push coaches on me. regardless of my opinion.
and I am not aligned with Jerry. I have zero chance of success.

I would jump in a heartbeat

By not extending MM before this season, Jerry may have pissed off MM to the point where he wants to stick it to Jerry by pretending to ”negotiate” with Jones until he signs with another team. This would really upset Jones who thinks nobody would decline this job. MM realizes that Dak will be even less mobile next year which doesn’t bode well for his offense.

I think Mike McCarthy walks, signs with another team, but doesn't say anything that burn bridges with Jerruh. jmo.
Mike didn't burn bridges with the packers when they let him go, He simply thanked them for the opportunity, and admitted he didn't get the job done that he was hired to do.
I think Mike knew a year ago that this was going to be his last year in Dallas, no matter what. again, jmo.

Do I want money? - Then yes, I sign here and squeeze every penny from Jerry.

Do I want to win a SB? - Then no, I stay as far away from Dallas as I can.

I just think some other team will offer MM more money than Jerruh will. jmo.

In no way, shape or form is the Bears a better job.
I agree it isn't, but the expectations are much less there too. With the recent lack of success they've had, 10 wins or 11 wins might get a street named after MM. :)

They won't. Results are expected everywhere else except in Dallas. You don't get paid for nepotism or GM comfort with other franchises.
But Jerruh is historically cheap with his Head coach contracts in comparison of what other teams are paying.
