It's hard to take you and your analysis of Bryant seriously when you claim he "sucks".

If you pay a player $17 million per year you expect Velcro hands. Not to catch about half of the passes thrown to him. If you think being 50/50 is acceptable for him @ $17 million per year is ok, I think we are using a different yardstick to measure him.

I have a little bit of fun with the Dez issue but in all seriousness, I don't see how people can defend his lack of production vs. cap hit. I don't see it as defensible.

Playoff wins is a measuring stick for sure, but it is not the only measuring stick. We could easily been 14 and 2 last year. That is significant. 13 and 3 is kick ***. If you could do that every year you would be in the hunt for a super bowl every year.

No, 14-2 is not significant when you lose your first playoff game.

I mean what good is 14-2 if you can't win a home playoff game?

And guess what? We aren't going 13-3 this year.......... largely because of a flawed roster constructed by this front office.

So there goes that.

You clearly said he sucks.

Which tells me you have a weird obsession with ripping him and frankly, it's hard to take your analysis seriously at this point.

If you were the GM of the Cowboys what moves would you make to improve the team? Who would you get rid of and what areas would you try to upgrade?

Glad you asked, ruffian! I am here to assist.

1. Pay cuts (when contracts allow) to Dez, Scandrick (I'd rather lose this lout) Twill, Written.
2. Unload Heath, and take a long, long look at the entire defense for waiving, trades (Ha!), salary cuts.
The untouchables would be Irving, mayowa, DLaw and Crawford.
3. Call an end to the Sean Lee experiment. Yes, he is good when healthy. But not worth a bucket of spittle each year when he goes down. If he is that good as some naive CZers say, then see what another needy team would offer for him. For his pay, Lee is not WOR h it on the overall scheme of things. What is the harm in testing the trade market next year? We shall either get a good deal or realize what new eyes see.
4. Hold the line on tired, worn veterans from its elsewhere. Blimey, the FO has resisted, overall, such trades/signings. Rely on the draft and develop young, talented players.
5. Go all out next draft for a WR. Dez is middle tier. As is TWill. After Beasely, we have zilch in talent.
6. Replace Marinade as DC. A fire-breathing coach who will call out poor play. It is not primary school. These are grown men who should be criticized as per lack of performance. And laud hose who earn their pay.
7. Garrett as HC? NO!
8. Tweak the offense scheme. Too predictable. Run, run, pass, punt. Run, pass, pass. First down, repeat. Our offense works, but is predictable. This leads to picks.
9. Work hard on basic tackling. If you arm tackle, hit the bench. If you give up on a pursuit, get benched.
10. Replace the old ladies who direct the Cowboys Cheerleaders. They are old and wrinkled and the cheerleaders deserve better! Heh.

Yeah. I said it a lot more nicely in my last post to be nice so as not to offend very thin skinned Dez fans. My opinion of him has not gone up since I said he sucks, but I am trying to be nicer about it these days.

Let's not let Witten or Taco off the hook either. But at least with Taco he still has time to get paid and isn't eating up a huge chunk of our cap just to keep him around.

Some of you guys beat heath to death every day all day and I think he is ok and may eventually turn into a player but you don't hear me crying like a ***** over it every time someone bashes Heath. Man you guys seriously need to grow up and stop being so sensitive.

I'll bet the Heath bashes over Dez bashes are 3 to 1. Lol. At least Heath isn't "stealing" $70 Million Dollars by underperforming his contract. SMH.

Rely on the draft and develop young, talented players.
Slow road to nowhere.

By the time the bulk of your drafted players are ready to contribute another position area is a glaring problem.

My first move as GM...fire anyone with rigid, boring ideas on talent acquisition. Get better every day and every way possible.

What’s all this ‘go get a young stud’ talk?

You act like these players come with a madden rating on them.

Dump Dez—great. I get it, but saying you are going to draft a guy to replace him is laughable. So.......the other 31 teams are going to step aside so you can get your next #1?

I understand the critiques, but if you think the answers are just that simple—then I need some of what you are drinking.

I would:

Play the reserve squad for the rest of the year.

Have T. Smith get his back taken care of.

Get a better coach than JG.

Ok, If they want to railroad the Cowboys then give them a sht sandwich back.

I am not even a Dez fan but realize you analysis is pretty biased.

To me, the problems with Dez aren't all his fault. I think Prescott bears some responsibility. Note that it's not just Dez who has had issues getting on page with Prescott. Beasley's numbers are down too this year. Maybe we should cut him as well?

Based on what has been said from those who have seen the All 22, there are plays where Dak is missing Bryant.

Frankly, I think the issues with Dez are a combo of our system, Dez himself and Prescott.

Yeah. It's significant. Super significant.

It's meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

No one remembers the team that won 13 games but then didn't win a playoff game.

It's almost sad and is most definitely a direct commentary on the hideousness of the last 20 years of this franchise that we are now celebrating 13 win seasons where we got booted out of the playoffs immediately (and a home game, no less).

But, good lad, that invites a revolving door for veteran has-beens, cheap castoffs from other teams.
Been there, done that.
As GM, I won't allow you on the premises!;)

There is no doubt that Dak has missed some passes to Dez. Not everything is Dez' fault. It's really not.

It's not Dez' fault when he has a reasonable decree of separation and the QB misses him. I'm not talking about that. No one is blaming Dez for that.

I am talking about the mental midget meltdowns. The piss poor route running. The sulking/meltdowns over not getting enough targets. I am talking about getting paid $17 million to get shut down against just about every above average CB he faces one on one. I am also blaming him for leaving it to the officials in the Green Bay game and forgetting about situational football. A catch is a win. A lunge and dropping the ball is a team loss. It's either a lack of knowledge of situational football or caring more about being a hero than winning the game. Neither are satisfactory.

I hate Witten's cap number. I hate the fact he is a progress stopper. I hate that he can't block very well anymore.

But he is a class act and a consummate professional. I am starting to wonder how much of his piss poor blocking is physical limitations or lack of effort on some plays but otherwise he gets a thumbs up in the character department from me.

Whose progress is Witten stopping? Hanna? Swaim?

People throw around this term progress stopper and it might one of the dumber phrases people utter on this board.

Stop this idea that all free agency is bad. You can be smart, aggressive, even creative with free agents.
