If you were to offer George Pickens a contract how much would it be?

I have no idea about the amount but its important to know that this is his First big contract opportunity and it could be what he has to live off of in case of injury and other things.

He has to go to the highest bidder

Hats off to George for giving us a spark our offense has been clearing missing. I love his toughness, and his physical abilities to be a game changer. With that said and his success on the field, what would you offer him if you could right now? What's his current value??

I don't think I'd insult him with anything below 30 million. (Yes we know he wants to negotiate after the season, SMART!) Let's have fun, I'm honestly not going to lock him up long term, maybe a 3 year deal, in that 3rd year there would be an out in his contract that if things aren't going well, he can be cut/traded with not much damage to our cap.

His current play, I'm thinking at least 31 million a season, your turn!
Wait until the very last minute then sign him to the highest paid contract for any WR in the league.

He's going to take this biggest bag offered regardless.

The question is, will he still be professional and motivated, or will be become Diggs like so many others?

More than CD. Isn't that how it works? It's not based on how good you are. Once they say you are a #1 receiver you have to make more than everyone else.

Really would like to know his value in the trade market. Would rather use $30 million on the defense but don’t want to lose him for a compensatory pick.

Around 20. Yes, he'll get more than that. 30+? You know that D that keeps us losing? Pay Pickens 30 and that doesn't go away.

The actual best play here is to trade him to the highest bidder by the deadline and rack up more picks. Contenders will pay.

Jerry won't because he's old and knows he won't be around for those picks.

Yeah, as good as he's been -- so far, it's still early in the season -- it makes me uneasy to tie that much money up in WRs. Don't want to be like the Bengals who have all the WRs and never do anything because their defense is perennially horrible.

But Jerry will probably do it anyway to 1) justify his trade and 2) make Dak look better, even if it isn't best for the team overall.
Well the bengals just won a game with Joe Flacco because they have solid WRs

As much as I love Pickens, with Lamb coming back, I expect nowhere near the same looks as he has had.....I expect Dak to force throws 88's way, and revert back to where things were at previously. Let's hope not, but......or, if Lamb isn't 100% he can be used as somewhat of a decoy and still demand the coverage he gets

87 billion dollars a day. Any other questions?

Post of the day
Not really that worried about that, I just don't think he's staying,

why do people keep talking about this when you know if he keeps playing like this all season, he will go after the biggest bag, that will be elsewhere as a number one, He wants WR1 respect, he wants to targets, he wants to be the guy, He can't do that with the shadow of CD lam,b and frankly Jerry can't afford to pay him number one money to essentially be 1B here.

Can't fault Jerry with all the problems we have on defense if this guy wants too much money you franchise tag him with either a 1st or a 2nd round tender you allow him to seek a trade and then you get a nice big chunky draft pick to get a really good wide receiver and a deep wide receiver draft and have a rookie backup wide receiver.

Rather have a guy under a rookie contract than overpay for Our second wide receiver....

Don't get me wrong the dude's great and I have no idea motivation non motivation, I think he likes to be great ,That means he wants the spotlight, and he really can't have that here we know who his agent is we know how this is going to go he used the Dallas Cowboys to his advantage, they have the spotlight, they have the primetime games, and if he's a Dallas Cowboy, typically another team will go after him in the offseason and overpay, and they will get him that's why you have to tag him and get everything you can for him......

Right now he is probably a $28-$32M WR which should be decent value for him if you can get him under 50% guaranteed money. Thats a similar style contract to Tee Higgins and would give you a fairly easy out after 2 years if the problematic side of Pickens we heard about in Pittsburgh starts showing up. Jerry will have the franchise tag in his back pocket as a negotiation tool as well. I'd bet there is a good chance this deal gets done as long as Pickens continues to perform this season.

It does usually but there are exceptions like when Josh Allen took less than Dakota for the betterment of the team, as HE stated.

Different priorities for Different players

Same agent company as Micah, I doubt he wants to make less. And after seeing how these clowns build a roster there is no way he gives a discount.
