What the Cowboys should do is sign Jamaal Williams a great short yardage back who smells the endzone. Scored 17 TD's last year for the Detroit Lions.
I like JW at a good price. I think we are going to turn to the Draft. I'm not a fan of Franchising Pollard. JW is definitely deserves a contract.

Considering Pollarl has a fracture with soft tissue damage requiring surgery i'd say they sign a vet and draft a rookie. But they probably won't do either then act shocked pollard struggles to not only be healthy for game 1 but to run like he used to.

Should have signed Penny who I thought could be great. They could have gotten Wilson or Moestert.

Now that those guys are gone, try to get Hunt if he is available.

They will 100% draft a RB if Zeke is cut, but they should still bring in a proven vet IMO.

And no first round RB. Let's not make the Zeke mistake again.
Drafting Bijan wouldn't be a mistake. It would be the best thing to do.

Nonsense! Try not to be such a homer. There are multiple back’s available 2-4 who can start in this league and are more physical and less of finesse back than Robinson!
There's a wide talent gap between Robinson and RBs you can get in later rounds excluding Gibbs which is 1st round talent.
Anyone that can't see it didn't watch a single Longhorn game. He's the best RB in the NFL the second Goodell calls his name.

umm zeke cut still on the books ie the CAP for 6mil how is it that doesn't compute dead cap counts and then add 6 + 10 + Malik = too much already spent in RB room. Get passed it wont happen. again draft a dang RB its easy KC used that formula; RBBC and won a SB using those rbs.

you spend the cap savings else where.
Yes SIR....blueblood is right on boys...the Chiefs got Pacheco in the 7th round fer crissakes. I watched him at Rutgers, he was OK but who KNEW he was that good? Even the Chiefs passed on him 6 times before they eventually took him. All SORTS of talent in the mid rounds. Charbonnet out of UCLA is a stud and can be had 3rd-4th round. Same with Ibrahim of Minnesota: 4th/5th rounder but SOLID as a rock.

Absolutely in the draft. A young guy with Pollard would be perfect.

Definitely not a vet.
Absofriggin'lutely **....we could get Charbonnet from UCLA in the 3rd/4th round or Ibrahim of Minnesota in the 4th/5th round. Chiefs got Pacheco from Rutgers last year in the 7th round. Small but dynamic kid.

Not to inject a madden game approach but with Dallas currently holding the #26 overall pick in 2023; Seattle possesses the #20 overall pick (their second 1sr round pick for 2023) so I am uncertain of all the workings to make it happen but should Bijah Robinson still be there at #20, Dallas trades their 2024 1st round pick and perhaps a 3rd round pick this year to acquire the #20 pick......Dallas selects Bijah Robinson at #20 and with their #26 pick they select OG O'Cyrus Torrence.

Agreed but if he's there at 26 than I take him if not 100% agree if Gibbs is there than that's where I'm stumped is he worth 26 or will he be there in the 2nd round. I went and looked at stats the best blocking RB for run and pass showed to be Spears from Tulane.

needs to be real cheap. like i said we owe zeke 5.5 dead cap pollard 10 mil

i mean maliks here that a ton of resourses on the RB room..i rather get the young fresh legs from the draft and throw him him and let him roll. Easiest transition position from college to pros like day 1 go run see hole run, no hole cut, cut back, run .. not hard. Most of the league does this not all but 70% of te teams have cheap backfield nowadays including both SB teams. dont be scared pollard IS the VET if you didn't trust the guy why cry for him to be rb1 all last season. its time for him to put up or shut up. ,

malik has now some experience, draft payer and we are set..not difficult to understand, i rather them add true FULL Back then a VET HB.

ITS the OL the LG that's much more important. then WR is next..

They have to do multiple things. Pollard is injured and you don't know how that will pan out early in the season. Draft 2 RBs and bring in a moderately priced veteran with some game experience!

I never cried for Pollard to be RB1. He needs a certain amount of touches. If given less he’s being underused bc he’s very valuable. If given more he’s being overused bc I don’t think he’s built to take wear and tear

We’ll add an RB to pair with Pollard. At least that better be the plan. I’m sure the Joneses learned from past mistakes with Marion Barber and Felix Jones not to attempt to make Pollard a bell cow. Overusing Pollard would wear him down and result in more injuries, making him less effective. Plus he’s coming off a serious injury. We need a thumper who can push the pile and pick up critical short yards. We need a good one-two punch at RB. If Robinson were to fall to us at 26, the Cowboys are likely to draft him. He’ll probably be the best player on the board and not only can he run the ball but he’s a good receiver.
