To be honest, the Eagles are good, but they are vulnerable right now. I didn't see anything defensively that made me think, the "team" is any different than any of the other opponents that we will face in the tournament. We will have our shot at a wide open NFC and I hope Dallas capitalizes when the margin for error shrinks.

The Cowboys didn't play great; the Eagles were that bad.
There's a difference.
This game looked like two struggling teams -who would normally have records around the .500 mark- and one of them had to lose.
The Cowboys struggled to beat a team with a backup quarterback, who was playing like a backup.
The Eagles practically handed the game to the Cowboys, but the Cowboys struggled to win it.
There's a lot of issues on both of these rosters moving forward.
If Hurts can't go, or if his injury is nagging, the Eagles will struggle.
And the Cowboys have to take advantage of teams like this who are struggling.

Eagles back up struggled? He threw for 360 yards.. had 2 WRs go over 100 yards...2 INTs but they werent badly thrown balls, 27 & 25 just took the ball away. The Eagles team is stacked, Coopert Rush would look like a starting caliber QB in that offense with those players.
If putting up 450 total yards with 25 first downs is struggling, Id hate to see what a perfect game from them is..

Get this in your head our defense is garbage right now.
He would’ve made a huge difference due to his mobility. The Cowboys always struggle against mobile QBs. Minshew had a couple of INT’s and missed a wide-open receiver for a TD. He missed on a number of plays. He can’t move and elude the way Hurts can.
Yeah, I guess if Hurts played, Dallas wouldn't have had all those sacks they had. Don't fool yourself, Minshew was VERY GOOD today.

P.S. Dallas had zero sacks

Mahomes is the MVP and it isn’t really close…he has the worst talent around him of the top 8 teams in the league, is about to earn the #1 seed again and has about double the TDs and yards as Hurts…it shouldn’t be debatable at this point (and Burrow should be #2)…

The top 5 QBs in the league are all from the AFC: Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Herbert, Tua (and you could even add Lawrence to this list)…goodness the AFC is stacked at QB!

The fact they couldn’t sack Minshew points to the difficulty Hurts would have provided with his legs. He would have put up at least 50 to 60 yards rushing.

Dallas put a 40 burger on the best team in the NFL.

They are not ready for good opponents.

They will be one and done in the playoffs.

I'll say this:

If we play Philly again we will hang 50 on them. They can't stop us. Really couldn't in the 1st contest either.

Hence Hurts is not an MVP. It's the system.
Hurts is the player that puts them over the top. Him being on the field makes their offense even better. Without him as we just saw tonight their offense is still pretty good but will be missing that wrinkle, Minshew makes them a little more predictable, and their playoff chances shrink.

That to me is what a MVP is supposed to be. The player that makes an impact on the game and the team. Otherwise we should be giving it to Mahomes every year and calling it a day.

It Hurts was playing for KC they would be a .500 team at best, if Mahomes played for the Eagles they would be undefeated and SB champs by a long ways…that is how you know who is the MVP…

How’s that they just lost without him? I honestly don’t think this game would have been close had he played. His mobility would’ve given us all kinds of issues. Minshew isn’t a bad QB but he’s a big drop off from Hurts.

they didn't skip a beat without him. 27 points and over 400 yards. dallas offense was HORRIBLE with dak out. qb is a huge deal for this team.

reminds me of 2017 when wentz went out. that team was so stacked qb didn't matter at all. hopefully it doesn't end up the same way though.

Hurts don't play defense. Dak destroyed them. 347 yards and 3 TDs
your right, hurts doesn't but a better performance by their offense with Hurts (who happens to do the best at what we suck at defending and that is run) may of made our defense play a whole different game, and our offense a whole lot more pass oriented.
Happy for the win, but the asterisk* will always precede a victory that happens against a team without their main guy. Thats why I never wish any opposing player to be out. You have to beat the best to be the best.

The handoff from Minshew was way outstretched on the first one. That’s and 2 egregious passes, plus drive extending runs… yes that would have made a difference.

I can’t guarantee hurts won’t throw a pick. But I can guarantee hes onlu thrown 5 all season, didn’t the first game, and Minshew did multiple this game
So we are doing the "what if" game now and granting special powers to injured players?

Nobody cared when they beat us with Rush playing rlearlier in the year and the 3 picks he threw.

And probably left a little out there that I bet he would like to re-do. He looked good. Need him to keep cleaning up the his game , which other than the early pick six , he was on. The 3rd and 30 was a freaking dime!
