Cowboys offense is able to match up with any team but the defense is very alarming. And I don’t think any team can make a deep run in the playoffs without a solid defense.

The Eagles did not punt even once today!

Dallas created 4 turnovers…yes created…it wasn’t like the Eagles said here take the ball.
2 great efforts for picks, and 2 forced fumbles.
that is better than making them punt.

The problems is back to too many wide open receivers. As the run defense seems better.

The Cowboys didn't play great; the Eagles were that bad.
There's a difference.
This game looked like two struggling teams -who would normally have records around the .500 mark- and one of them had to lose.
The Cowboys struggled to beat a team with a backup quarterback, who was playing like a backup.
The Eagles practically handed the game to the Cowboys, but the Cowboys struggled to win it.
There's a lot of issues on both of these rosters moving forward.
If Hurts can't go, or if his injury is nagging, the Eagles will struggle.
And the Cowboys have to take advantage of teams like this who are struggling.
I don't buy it. The Eagles were white hot coming into this game and Minshew is better than many starting QBs in this league. Our defense did struggle, but Dak put up 40 on a very good Philly defense, slicing through the zone and rising to the moment in an important late season game. Why take away from what Dallas accomplished today?

Iggles finally played a "playoff" caliber team and they failed.

Just imagine if we had Dak and Tyron for the entire season, we'd probably have the better record.

Hurts is the real deal. Their back up QB had not played all year and played well, but Hurts makes that offense go. I am not sure if our depleted defense can handle them if we meet again. PS. Dak is playing well and I believe our offense will get even better assuming we have no more injuries.

Be interesting if we play Brady in the playoffs. I have no clue who will win the NFC south.

Been saying this all season…the ONLY thing that scares me about them is Hurts legs…everything else can be managed.

I expect Hurts to provide a better fight for the Cowboys in the future. Both the Cowboys and Eagles have sustained injuries that hampered their most productive performances. We'll have to see how things develop between now and whenever we meet again. We had best be ready for a tougher fight the next time we meet. No question but what Hurts will provide a bigger challenge than what Minshew did yesterday.

They dropped 34 points on us with a backup QB and they turned the ball over 4 times.

There’s more to worry about than just Hurts’ legs.

I am not going to get carried away here, they are pretty good and D can bring the pressure. Bad thing is they will have 2 first round picks next draft.

I think the eagles have an exceptional offense but their defense can be had at times by good offenses. Their defense is still capable of making explosive plays at any time however, similar to the early season Dallas defense.

Dallas at the 5th seed would be almost impossible to play eagles in divisional round.

The 6th and 7th seed would also have to win in wild card

I actually think it's highly likely we see them again.
If the season ended today:
Philly (#1) has the bye.
Washington (#7) at Minnesota (#2)
NYG (#6) at Niners (#3)
Cowboys (#5) at Bucs (#4)

If we beat the Bucs, and the Niners and Vikings moved on as expected, we'd see the Eagles in the 2nd Round.

Yep, I have already admitted I was wrong multiple times.

Thanks for pointing it out again.

You’ve got it backwards. In the scenario you described the Eagles would play the 7th seed. They’ll play the lowest seed remaining. That would be us unless one of the other wildcards win in the first round.

You do realize people respond to posts as they’re reading through a thread, right. I know I don’t read the entire thread before responding to a post, so I have no idea what others are saying in response.
