I am sure MM knew. He wouldn’t let him go into the next games without knowing he wouldn’t be playing. Maybe him making him a captain for his last game was a to let Jaylon know he was important to the team. Was a business deal. Still wondering why he was cut 4 games in. Maybe with his diminished role the FO was afraid he would start being a problem in the locker room.

• secondly, we had no idea going into the season how neal, parsons, lve, or others like Cox would play within new defense.they know now
• lastly, they gave him chance to respond to the challenges and when they had full LB room and JS is barely playing to an average level and snap count way down and knowing his deal is guaranteed in 2022 if he gets injured.
• they made decision and given the odd nature of it , they must have felt strongly about it..im also betting with neal coming back his role more reduced, he may have become a locker room and sideline cancer upset over his playtime.

I would bet he would be upset about playing time. And when your young and your manhood (how good you can play) is questioned then even the nicest of players may start dividing people. JJ really hooked him up with the contract. I think he was allowed to open a cryo place in the star. Or some type of business.

It’s strange because bayless was a homer for The Cowboys for a long time. He covered them for years and one would think he would have sources. I used to watch them after a Cowboys win the next morning cause he would give shannon crap. Then suddenly he didn’t like Elliot but loved Dak. Then all the sudden over the contract he started hating on Dak. Then I quit watching because skip would dog on them more than shannon did. Rile reversal for tv drama. I am assuming another win and cowturd will get on the train.

Remember he was practically ran out of Dallas after being fired . He was very bitter.

The players, the team, are doing well, and they’re winning, but the rating$ machine’s thirst for negative Dallas Drama validates their existence. Mike McCarthy’s time management snafus have become the hot topic to dwell on. Plus, he’s overweight, which they’re also using to create the perception of “trouble in paradise”. Everyone KNOWS that fat people are stupid and incompetent, driven only for their gluttonous need for cake and cheeseburgers. The most likely scenario? The NFL is a cold business, and despite Smith’s aloof cockiness, he worked very hard to come back from a impossibly horrific injury. It just didn’t work. McCarthy knew he was gone, and anyone that thinks he didn’t is incredibly gullible. MM was merely saying ‘thank you’, and anyone that thinks otherwise should remember that old Parcells quote…”You’ve been sucked!”
