It was WRONG. Said it at the time. Turned to everyone at my house and said you left Rogers too much time. Rodgers was asked about it...and he said they left him too much time. So you keep thinking it was right. The proof is in the results.

So on a play that resulted in a second down, when we still had the ball, you said "we left to much time" really?? I call BS on that one. No one at that time, knew that we left to much time. The fact that the worst case scenario played out in the end, has no bearing on 2nd down and 10 with 40 or so seconds left in the game, when we still had the ball. That's just stupid.

And yet, none of that has helped them in their HC tenures to do anything of note. What is your point?

And both of them are terrible on game days. Bill O especially. He is a complete and utter moron on game days.
You are unbelievable....are you insinuating we have an advantage on gameday with Garrett on the sidelines? That is simply comical!!!!!!!!!!!

The playoffs are the elite of the elite. My goal is to eventually win a Super Bowl. When the playoffs start...everyone's record starts out 0-0. And he has YET to really get out the starting blocks. He has been in this position before. And the SAME thing happened. We just finished up a season with ZERO playoff wins. AGAIN!!! What will it take to convince you he can get it done?

You must be talking to someone else because I'm already convinced he can get it done.

The NFL Playoffs are the elite of the elite and those teams are seeded accordingly. Garrett coached the Cowboys to the #1 seed but you ignore this because it is counter to your argument. The rules of the game don't change for the playoff, it's still the same game. Contrary to what you imply, not everyone is on an even plane in the playoffs. Some teams, unlike Garrett's Cowboys don't get a bye week, some teams, unlike Garrett's Cowboys don't get home field advantage... you conveniently don't give Garrett credit for coaching the team to any of those advantages.

Your emotional response isn't compelling because it lacks connecting how the playoff loses were because of Garrett's coaching. Garrett's coaching was good enough to get the team to a 31-31 tie with 35 seconds left in the game. Sometimes it doesn't come down to coaching. Sometime you just get beat because a Hall of Fame QB makes a Hall of Fame play and that is what happen to us in the end. A player made play.

I would say it would depend on who was on the other sideline. There are maybe 3 coaches I would say we didn't. But for the other 13 games, I would say we did.

So by that logic....McAdoo is better and Doug Pederson is better? But since we beat the Steelers....Garrett is better than Mike Tomlin?

On those game days.. yes. But if you look at the entire body of work over time, I was say Garrett is much better than the first two and behind Tomlin.

Read my edit.

Marvin Lewis has won a Super Bowl as the DC with the Ravens.

Bill O'brien has been to two Super Bowls as the OC of the Patriots.

What on Garrett's coaching resume comes close to that?

Marvin Lewis has been head coach of the Bengals for 14 years and is 0-7 in the playoffs.

Still more accomplished than our trainee.
Not only that. Garrett has MANY more resources to win. And by resources I mean money, facilities, pro bowl players, size of staff, size of scouting department...I could go on and on.

But I started this thread because I don't feel Garrett will ever be able to put a stretch of 3 or 4 games together in the playoffs against the elite coaches/organizations in the NFL. And much like Marvin has been given time after time after time....I feel that is where we are headed with Garrett. And I started this thread because this is EXACTLY what I want to avoid.

I wonder if Jerry understands how big of a choke job it was by JG and company.

I think he does...but how do you put a coach that just won 13 games on the hot seat? Especially when we all know how fond Jerry is of Jason. But I am very afraid that Jason will never put 3 or 4 playoff game in a row as a Head Coach. He not only botched the end of the 2nd half...he botched the end of the 1st half. There are only 2 halves in a game. And he got them BOTH wrong. And this was just he divisional game. We have not seen the NFC title game. Nor the Super Bowl. Do you think he has what it takes to get it right 3 or 4 games in a row in the postseason?
