Typically somebody in the media will boast about Dallas’s talent and them we bomb or its seems like will not be contenders and they win east. This year seems diffrent, im buying the Hype. Too many positive vibes. Its going to be a fun year ! NFC Champs

I wouldn’t call it hype. Overrating, Hollywood Circus, always going to be with this team.

I would call my optimism playing the odds. So many decades of bad luck. Even the Bungals, Cards, and other perennial losers made it back to the top during our Playoff drought. Something has to finally give. AFC starting to look like the stronger Conference. We will field our best D in a long time. It’s now or never!

The NFC has never been weaker.
My hopes rest on our defense to make the difference esp when our offense is laying eggs.
Am I asking too much from our defense?
Yes...........but one can only hope.
P.S. When you have the Jones family at the helm you learn to hold a small cup for those cherries!!! :banghead:

Hype for this team is typically around the glitz and glamor of a high powered offense....this year the hype is going to be more around the defense and honestly it might be more accurate...

If this defense plays like it should then this team will have a legit shot, been decades since we have had this type of defense

This team will be good, have good record, go to the playoffs. They are too good not to with this team's talent . There are variables though.

And there has to be some luck. Luck like Philthy had last year with no serious injuries, pretty easy schedule, trading for AJ Brown (arguably not luck but a savvy personnel move), Davontae Smith turned into a strong #2 WAR, Hurts progressed further and raster than his past showed he would . . . the card just fell right for them. Dallas needs the same type hand.

They especially need no serious injuries in the OL or RB areas and coaching to take a step up. Then there's Dak, whom I believe has been pressing too much, and who needs to play within himself and not force the game (coaching?????). So injuries need to be at a minimum, coaching needs to step up, and Dak needs to settle down and play within himself.

Do this and this is a championship caliber team.

This is a very good team. It’s not like the hyped Garrett years where 2 of the 3 phases were usually crap and creating turnovers was a foreign concept!

I disagree with anyone who thinks that Dallas has some clear cut dominant team or is a lock for a super bowl.

There are a handful of very good teams in the NFL right now and Dallas is one of them. Who comes out on top will come down to luck, injuries, a handful of plays, etc. The margins are really close. Once its over the media talking heads will play it up that the winning team was far greater than it was.

Yeah when the biggest issue with the team appears to be your top 10 quarterback and Super Bowl winning head coach, I think you have a good football team. I do have concerns with Tyron and the running backs behind Pollard but I think the team has a chance to be really good.

Jerry loves the fans like this who buy into his bull ^$**. The only thing missing now is Dak stepping up and telling us how he will get better............... then go out and not do it.
Yeah 24-10 the last two seasons and the best record in the NFC over that period is BS.

Ive been so jaded the last few years from the constant letdowns after buying into the sunshine and rainbow shtick around here. Ive been in the SHOW ME phase for a while now. Afraid to be disappointed.
But I find myself a little HOPEFUL this year. It just feels different, and I think its because the defense seems to be the strength of the team. We will be in most games this year.

I hope my naivete doesnt bite me in the a rse

Im really looking forward to seeing exactly how good we are . Albeit with a bit of reservation.

LOL

Dallas Offense last year was 10th over all (including the 5 crappy Rush games) and 3rd in scoring.

you are a really funny kid.

Not sure I will call it hype, but some extreme confidence is more appropriate.

Enjoy the season as it unfolds, and I won't be concerned what happens in the playoffs until they are ready to be played.
I don't understand fans misery even right now, thinking it will be another failed year. Let them play the games first.

Comes down to the QB making plays in the playoffs period. Mahomes, Brady, Stafford, etc.. even Foles and Eli somehow made plays. There's not even an argument to be had. Those two picks before halftime vs 49ers last year can not happen! I'm excited for this season to start as everyone else. This is the year right?
