Yeah 24-10 the last two seasons and the best record in the NFC over that period is BS.
And both seasons they could not make it out of the divisional round.

A lot of regular season wins is fun, but if it doesn't produce title game appearances then it means you underachieved and wasted chances.

Yep, exactly.
But ya might try explaining this to that First Blood guy too.
He's a huge regular season cheerleader guy, lol.

....you say that because if I'm critical of a cowboys' player I must a traitor, or a hater?
Gotta always have the sarcasm detector on with Risen bro. But I admit, every now and then he has blurred the sarcasm with an actual truth.

And yeah, you're a hater.
And a traitor.
And go root for another team then.
And you're an Eagles fan.
Oh yeah, and you're a troll.

I think that covers all the CZ personal insults categories...

I hope you know I'm kidding.

LOL

Typically somebody in the media will boast about Dallas’s talent and them we bomb or its seems like will not be contenders and they win east. This year seems diffrent, im buying the Hype. Too many positive vibes. Its going to be a fun year ! NFC Champs
What hype?

look on any power rankings type list and cowboys are below SF and eagles.

hi
I disagree with anyone who thinks that Dallas has some clear cut dominant team or is a lock for a super bowl.

There are a handful of very good teams in the NFL right now and Dallas is one of them. Who comes out on top will come down to luck, injuries, a handful of plays, etc. The margins are really close. Once its over the media talking heads will play it up that the winning team was far greater than it was.
Agree, never said “lock” just this teams feels rught

A consistent pattern that has lasted nearly 30 years is impossible to ignore. And it isn't misery, it's just acceptance that this pattern probably won't be broken any time soon.
You’re such a miserable person all the time.

The roster is definitely better this year.
Gilmore
Cooks
2 Bigs at DT to start the season (Mazi and Hankins)
LB Clark was everywhere last week. He looks like the real deal as the 2nd LB.
Addition by subtraction with Zeke. Pollard was an elite playmaker last season.
Starting OL looks good. Tyler in his 2nd season is going to get LA comparison from the announcers. He's a physical freak.
- Note: For backup OG, they have 2 players that have started games at LG and were "good enough". Edogo and Farniok.
OC: McCarthy has radically more experience as a coach & O-Coordinator than Kellen Moore.
DC: I think Quinn finally has all the players that he wanted to build his defense.

Kicker seems to be the biggest question mark.

We’re not going to know what kind of team the Cowboys have until the regular season starts. We haven’t seen our starters play a game since last January in the loss to San Francisco. You’ve been anointing rookies and the team the entire summer. We haven’t even played a single regular season game and you already have the Cowboys as a top-five team. Lol It’s going to be interesting to see what your response is If this season doesn’t go as great as you think.
Every single season some teams that made the playoffs the year before miss the playoffs the next year and others make it. We don't have any idea if the NFC won't be stronger this year then last. We really did blow a great chance last year.

They are razor thin on Oline, rb, and, I beleive, at corner also. Add in an issue at QB and I fear an egg is going to be layed by December. I pray that I'm wrong. But this is the Cowboys we're talking about. What can go wrong, inevitably will.

This team will be good, have good record, go to the playoffs. They are too good not to with this team's talent . There are variables though.

And there has to be some luck. Luck like Philthy had last year with no serious injuries, pretty easy schedule, trading for AJ Brown (arguably not luck but a savvy personnel move), Davontae Smith turned into a strong #2 WAR, Hurts progressed further and raster than his past showed he would . . . the card just fell right for them. Dallas needs the same type hand.

They especially need no serious injuries in the OL or RB areas and coaching to take a step up. Then there's Dak, whom I believe has been pressing too much, and who needs to play within himself and not force the game (coaching?????). So injuries need to be at a minimum, coaching needs to step up, and Dak needs to settle down and play within himself.

Do this and this is a championship caliber team.
In a nutshell

Every season is different with a few surprises and a few disappointments. Washington could end up competing if Sam Howell who’s officially been named the starter turns into something special. I expect a NFC East to be strong again this season. The Cowboys can’t afford to have games against very beatable teams where they don’t show up. They start building some momentum, then lay an egg against a struggling team. It usually causes them to sputter late in the season.

You should. This team is stacked. Defense the best in a generation and potentially better than ever. It’s a top notch team. OL and K is the only weakness I see.

Jerry overhyped his team every year.
Nothing new to it. As a long-time fan, I've learned to temper my expectations.
What's he supposed to do say , Oh I think we'll suck ! I get you"re the wait and see type and that's cool. That would not be any more realistic if Jerry was like that.

He 's supposed to be the teams biggest rah rah man out there. He 's supposed to hype the team up. I seriously don't get what you people expect of him. He's built a team that will be competitive week in week out.

What more can we ask of him?
