I'm certain, the team culture is the problem

You can bring in all the best coaches since Jimmy Johnson, and all the best players since 1995, and what does Dallas have - a "good enough" mindset and culture.

We have one of the best NFL players saying after the iggles loss- " after this game, our conference is much better."

There is no "failing forward" in the NFL, especially when you're a Dallas Cowboys. Dallas Cowboys used to set the damn tone decades ago. Now they act like wussies who are pleased with hope that they'll become great and compete with the big boys.

Change this culture and see the titles return.

This crappy culture starts at the top.... we all know this. When you have an owner who announces to the media that his goal is to be "relevant and interesting", how can that not trickle down to the players? They're essentially being told that winning big games doesn't matter, just show up and put forth some effort. Give the owner a few headlines and all is well.

Go to the Mazi thread. There is a video of the war room during the Mazi pick. That’s all you need to see to know this organization is going nowhere. Jerry has no idea who to pick. He’s not familiar with any of the players enough to confidently make a selection. So he surveys the room looking for the most convincing argument. It’s ludicrous this is how we run things. How in the world can we orchestrate mid season trades when the head honcho GM has no idea what’s going on in the player personnel world.

We all know its the owner and he and his family aren't leaving. After that, its the extremely limited QB. He beats up on bad teams and can't beat good ones, it's been that way for 7 of his 8 years and has only gotten worse. The one year he beat winning teams was his rookie season FYI.

That isn't the biggest problem with the Dallas Cowboys.

That isn't what caused the season ending losses each of the last 2 years.
Technically that’s true. Perhaps he was referring to the culture of overvaluing our “franchise” players.

The “negotiating” skills of Jerry in handling #4s contract were beyond stupid.

No backup plan, no drafting of an option, and putting off the inevitable until the market was even higher.

Well Micah says our confidence is higher after a 5 point loss to the eagles. Imagine if we lose to them by a point or 2 in 5 weeks from now. Our confidence will be through the roof!!!!
How is that confidence going to be if they fall flat on their face against the Gnats this weekend? They're being touted as a 16 point favorite, so whats to keep them from thinking they won't have to show up and actually put forth any effort?

When Micah says things like that it makes me wonder if he thought they were going to lose by a lot more, but only lost by 5.

If somebody could have kept his foot inbounds, it would have only required a FG to play on……but alas, yet another way to lose a heartbreaker.
Still was a good exciting game and the season will continue. Maybe we get something good in the end.

And the failure to score on the final drive again is a serious problem.
Actually, that game is over and we have a lot of games left and it looks like we will get a win next week and go on from there.

Jimmy nailed it a few years ago when he said it was a "Country Club"... As long as Bozo the Clown and his son Cookie are having fun, it will take a miracle for the Cowboys to win another Super Bowl. Everyone knows it.
