There's a K projected to go in the 3rd. If he's BPA in the 4th, would you take him?

Absolutely.

But for him to be BPA, he's have to be able to make 80-yard field goals with regularity. Otherwise, he's a kicker.

The draft has been over-analyzed ad-nausium.
The players have been raised by 40 times and reduced by 40 times.
College kids have been labeled safe because we don't know everything; others have been labeled risky because they partied. Fans, draft pundits, and media darlings have moved from ratings to trying to guess where players will go and back to rankings again. So much changes from every angle based on draft season rumors. I love the draft, but I'm almost sick of it.

Back to basics. Based on rankings since last year, and based on being the best player at a critical position, his age, etc.......

Draft Joey Bosa, DE

This statement caused me to disregard the rest of your statement. Why? Because you saying it doesn't make it true. All teams draft BPA sometimes. It's when they don't that they screw up.

It's just not realistic to go BPA no matter way. Some players are going to be going to be grouped in the same tier. If the Colts have a CB graded 88 and an LT graded 87 - they're drafting the LT. As they should.

“I think everybody says that,” Titans general manager Mike Reinfeldt said. “But at some point need enters into the equation, too. Earlier for some people than for others.”
"I think BPA tends to be everyone’s dream. But as with so many dreams, things go off script when it’s time to execute in reality."

That's a straw man. Paid analysts are saying a kicker has a 2nd to 3rd round grade.

If you're the Colts and you have a QB graded 88 and a LT graded 87 - which one are you taking?

I would say BPA lies somewhere within the group of Tunsil, Elloit, and Ramsey. I do not believe Bosa fits in that group.

IMO though I have no studied the players, I would go with Tunsil, then Elloit, then Ramsey. The only reason I pick Ramsey last is I question him translating to the NFL level. Though his raw ability is definitely there.

I think the consensus is:

Tunsil, Ramsey, Bosa, Buckner ..... Zeke

Seen many Tunsil, Bosa, Ramsey ..... Zeke

Seen a few Bosa, Ramsey, Tunsil .... Zeke

Can't recall seeing any Tunsil, Zeke, Ramsey, Bosa

Damn. I was with you till you demanded a specific player.

Here I thought I'd stumbled on the, "I'm tired of overanalyzing, let's just draft already." thread.

But nope, just another thread for people to argue about why Player A is clearly a HOF and Player B is gonna bust like no other.

Guess I'll have to keep looking.

This is obvious. I'm talking about when you have a LT graded as a 92 and a DE graded as an 88. You take the LT. Tunsil > Bosa. You take Tunsil

Why do you people continue to insist on this being explained? It should already been known. When someone says BPA, they are either referring to Cowboys' draft board or BPA at needed positions.

You should just assume this. It just becomes a pointless discussion. I haven't seen a single person use "BPA" in a different way.

That's the same guy. You take what you need most.

But generally, you take the BPA always. You never regret that like you do guys that were needed. "Needs come and go. Talent plays for 10 years," said Mike Fisher.

I've had this conversation with multiple posters taking it as gospel on this very forum, within the last week.

No, you haven't. Because I've had discussions with these same people about BPA.

No one is saying BPA ignores needed positions.

I hear ya brutha....haven't and don't want Bosa that is the one thing ... but it appears Ramsey or Bosa is the pick.....rather have Buckner on the DL.

After it's all exhausted, Bosa is a real football player, in the end.
