I'm excited about Dallas football again...

Why is that?

First because I'm really excited about what this football team can do with Wade Phillips for a whole off season, and from day 1 in the next season. I mean I'm upset we aren't doing more in the secondary, and that we haven't released Ellis, but there is always draft time. Hopefully Ellis will be a June 1st cut, or maybe we can get something for him on draft day.

But back to why I'm excited. Just the thought of us using all three running backs. Can't understand why we didn't even try using Jones and Choice this year, but I think its obvious now that we're going to feature an offensive system that is basically a 3 headed running monster.

Felix Jones as the starter, used in a similar way hopefully to Brian Westbrook. This guy can be a great safety valve, but probably even more than that. His speed, truly makes the defense respect the running game. Can hit a homerun anytime during the game.

Tashard Choice as a change of pace running back, and football's equivalent of a relief pitcher. Has the elusivity and power to move the chains. Great change up between Jones' carries.

Marion Barber as the football's equivalent of a closer. Marion Barber fits the description of a relief pitcher (closer specifically), to a tee. He is best suited for this role, and coming into games 100%, when the opposing defenses are already tied after chasing and being beaten up by Jones and Choice respectively, he'll return to form and just dominate.

I agree, we need to run the ball alot more this year.

Hopefully Coach Tecmo realizes it as well.

Right now Garrett is the only down side of next season, but if we run the ball 30 times a game it won't matter so much...

Excited? You should feel doomed. 6.5 million reasons why you should feel hopeless. Don't you know the song and dance? It's called the mouth breathers jig.

you can thank garrett for TO being released. My money says TO would still be here if Garrett wasn't. So be careful what you wish for.

I don't see Tony Romo at the wailing wall. Who cares what Garrett says. TO was the kill joy in our offense. Like carrying your enemies 230lb ruck sack two miles up hill in the scorching heat without water...:nono2:

Strange how two years ago, Jason Garrett was everybody's hero in here, the guy could do no wrong... now suddenly, he's useless...

Some of y'all give fickle people a bad name... you jump on the flavor du jour, then jump off again at the drop of a hat... as a result, it's hard to take y'all serious...

It's hard for me to get excited over a mediocre team.

:signmast: Bad thing is, it would've been just a tad better with TO here but not much. We have problems.

He was everybodys hero until the Giants playoff game. After that it was obvious he was garbage. I still laugh at his draw play on 2nd down on the last drive of the game. Pure comedy. I could just imagine Tom Brady doing that when the Pats need a touchdown and they aren't even in the red zone.lol

There will not be any " June 1st cuts " because there's no salary cap next year.

I don't know exactly how we will do next season, but I like what they have done by adding some character guys. The main problems weren't on the field. This team needs to come together and I think they have moved in the right direction with the moves they made. We need to shore up a few areas yet, but we definitely have enough talent to make some major noise.

Hopefully playing in the best stadium in the NFL inspires them all to come together and light the place up.

I still have high hopes if we stay injury free - Injuries to key players like romo, felix, flo, kosier cost us bad last year

This team still has a lot of talent on it and can compete for the SB IMO. We do need better depth on the O-Line, at QB, and in the secondary but otherwise we have a pretty good team.

I do foresee us being a more balanced offense, running the ball more effectively and mixing things up better. I am very excited about Felix Jones and what he brings. Hopefully, Barber will bounce back and play like he did two years ago. I think it hurt him when Jones went out and he had to carry more of the load. The good thing was that we got to find out about Tashard Choice and that was a very nice surprise! I feel very good about our depth at RB and that we can keep them fresh while still wearing down the defense.

Our young WRs need to step up now and I hope we draft another one.

Yeah, I'm getting excited about this season now that we've made some moves in the right direction!

I'm just as excited to see how Berman acts towards TO now that he is a Bill. Actually, I could care less, but you know what I mean......kinda rough justice.

Garrett is not the problem on this team, but most can't see it because they don't WANT to see it. And get ready, if the offense clicks this season, it won't be because of Garrett (the haters will say), they will find some other reason for success. (Tony, The Three backs, etc. etc) It's just sad human nature. Once you put yourself out there publicly, on an opinion or position, very few people have the humility and sense to just say they were wrong.

I'm excited about the pressure. Pressure burts pipes and makes diamonds.

A lot of guys on this team are all out of excuses.

We're young, and we had a great draft last year. One more solid draft like that and we'll have some young, eager to prove guys that are playing for contracts. I like those guys a lot more than 30 somethings that just got paid.
