Garrett is not the problem on this team, but most can't see it because they don't WANT to see it. And get ready, if the offense clicks this season, it won't be because of Garrett (the haters will say), they will find some other reason for success. (Tony, The Three backs, etc. etc) It's just sad human nature. Once you put yourself out there publicly, on an opinion or position, very few people have the humility and sense to just say they were wrong.

Anytime you have one player that the team has to be concerned with keeping happy, you are limited in what you can do. Now that that player is gone this offense will open up again and Garrett will look like a genius once more.

I am excited about this team as well. I think we will be better than last year, because I cannot see us having that many injuries again. I think Igor will be better than Canty in Wade's D. I think Brooking's size will make him an upgrade over Zach Thomas. I think Stewart will suprise many people. But the biggest impact will be from Miles Austin, who will become a household name once he get his chance.

On the flip side, I worry about Flozell Adams and not having a suitable back up if he gets hurt or simply continues his downward trek. I obviously worry about the Safety position as a whole.

But all that being said, I like this team again. They got rid off the guys I didn't like (Owens, PacMan, Tank) and brought in solid players that we need.

The most excited I have been going into a season since 2006.

I'm extremely excited. Not neccessarily because I think Dallas is on the brink of a title, though you never know. I'm pumped because TO, Tank and Pacman are gone. I'm pumped because I can discuss Cowboy football with my 5-year old without having to worry about what questions might be forthcoming.

Apathy was actually setting in for me. I've been a die hard for so long, but I was finding it difficult to get excited about the upcomming season with TO. I didn't really care about the offseason moves. I could never root for another team, but I don't have to care so much.

I'm thrilled with what has taken place over the last week.

I'm just as excited to see how Berman acts towards TO now that he is a Bill. Actually, I could care less, but you know what I mean......kinda rough justice.

For the first time since the day Campo was named coach I'll be able to look at the Cowboys' sideline and not see anyone there that makes me want to puke(Campo,Parcells,TO). I'm pretty stoked about this year. Now if Wade was just the DC and we had a better head coach I'd be thrilled about this year.

By week 6 we better be 4-2 or he's gone. So, thats something to get excited about with WP.

Props for coming in off the ledge, Galian.

We're going to be a less flashy team this year, but I think we're going to gain some grit and toughness and have a new team-first mentality. Which is only the way the most successful franchises in the league do it.

Just wait until we add some hard-hitting, gutty, football-playing dudes this draft. I can't wait.

tough gritty teams usually get that mentality from their coach and their practices i honestly can't see a Wade team ever taking on the personality

Right now Garrett is the only down side of next season, but if we run the ball 30 times a game it won't matter so much...

I dont get all the hate for Garrett.

I have said this before and I will say it again...

A better pass here or a catch there or a picked up block there and Garrett is "annointed" the bestest coach in the entire NFL.... again....

44-6.

They will be a tad more humble. Especially with Wade's new ruthless approach.

Next year can't get here fast enough. I dying to see a "team first attitude" representing our boys once again.

The comment Hurd made, "Romo should be able to spread the ball around now to the open guys" play right into Romo's game (improvising, making something happen). Romo is the man and I sorry if some of you don't see that.

If the O-line can elevate their play level to their pay level, then watchout because our boys have plenty of firepower. Yeah I know last year we had injuries but the O-line still did not hold their own.

Every team has holes on it. We still have time to fill a couple more. With the talent we have on this team, our holes will be minimized, causing at most (small speed bumps) on our way back to where we belong - at the top.

I'm always excited about Dallas Cowboys football. I never let who is here, isn't here, and what we did the last year, or whatever, challenge my excitement for the team. I'm excited each and every week even when we've sucked.

Good point, but we can still hope. I think we are at least going in the right direction.

I am certainly more excited! Mainly because I like the components of the team better. We may not have improved the overall skill level of the Cowboys this off season, but it is not THAT much less than we had 2 years ago.

I, personally, feel that I will have the opportunity to be PROUD of my Cowboys again, as opposed to the bunch of underperforming whiners that 2008 showed us.

We can go into next season without all the inflatted expectations. No longer the most talented team type hype. Garrett gets a real chance to prove himself a better coach now that the main cancer is gone. Romo can continue his progress. Wade can finish his work on the D-fense. As long as the team can stay focused and fill some holes with the draft...plenty of reasons to get excited again.

More running will reduce Romo's turnovers and it will help him out alot. If we can be a good run team, Romo's playaction will be deadly.

He was everybodys hero until the Giants playoff game. After that it was obvious he was garbage. I still laugh at his draw play on 2nd down on the last drive of the game. Pure comedy. I could just imagine Tom Brady doing that when the Pats need a touchdown and they aren't even in the red zone.lol

So it was his fault that Crayton dropped a pass and then quit running on that 4th down pass. It is his fault that TO dropped a first down pass. It is his fault that Hurd dropped that crossing route where he could have gone at least 40-50 yds if not for the TD. It is his fault that Fasano dropped a TD pass. It is his fault that Barber ran out of gas in the second half. It is his fault the OL quit blocking in the second half. It is his fault that Reeves got raped by the lesser Steve Smith just before halftime.

Garrett called a good game against the Giants. Romo played a good game against the Giants. It isn't their fault the receivers were dropping critical passes or the OL wasn't blocking.
