So everyone can see how much of Romo's return was over romanticized. I am not rooting for him to fail but it will put the final nail in the coffin about replacing DP.

His play won't effect the CBoys or Dak as their starting qb. That we know.

We don't need a final nail at this point. Who knows if/when we'll see him play? I'm confident he'll be ready to go when called upon. Maybe he gets some reps vs philly.

You looking forward to seeing him play with rest of the starting team, including Zeke for a few games to get him acclimated? Or does that not count in your wish?

Is also look forward to seeing Dak play with Zeke rested and chucking the ball downfield to see if we can rely on his arm..

There would be no drop off in the offense if Romo played. In fact the production would increase as Romo is the superior QB.
Look what a 4th round rookie is doing running this offense. Just imagine if a franchise QB like Romo could do.

Isn't Dak roughly neck-and-neck in key stats with where Tony was in 2014? People posted tons of stats recently that reflected that.

We don't know if Romo is the superior qb in 2016.

Did he all of a sudden forget how to play? Romo is fully healthy right now and past injuries are not limiting him. Sure he could get hurt again the next big hit he takes but that's true of every player in the NFL.

He's not Peter Pan. Age catches up with everyone. Some of his injuries, even when 'healed' are the type that diminish skills e.g. bad back.

JG has already indicated that he plans to play all of his healthy starters throughout the remainder of the regular season games. Whether or not that means Romo will or won't play remains to be seen. He also mentioned that he intends to allow Dak and Zeke all the experience they can get approaching the playoffs. Nevertheless, he's still free to change his mind. Obviously, we'll have to see what gives when the time comes.

Personally, I doubt if the FO wants to risk affecting Romo's trade value negatively in terms of exposing him to injury approaching the offseason. Linehan has also stated that he sees no reason to use Romo since he's showing every indication of being ready at this time.

as big of a Romo fan as I am, it would kill me to see him take another season ending or even worse career ending injury.....I hope he just decides to hang it up and Jerry offers him a position within the organization.

"agree"......Lets see what Romo's legs can do running a bootleg or running for a first down on 3rd and 11...........o_O

I wonder why nobody is calling Peyton Manning..I mean so many teams need a QB..what, did that guy just forget how to play QB or something?

Yeah, that 1st sentence sure proved that.

Thanks for agreeing with me.

I'm glad you understand I have nothing to gain or lose for romo not living up to his 2014 performance. It only benefits the team if he does. It will just end the "debate" finally.

I'm hoping Romo gets some time and looks spectacular so teams get into a bidding war and run his price up to give us tons of picks

I'd actually prefer the Cowboys to redo his contact after the season and keep him as the backup. Tony has been perfect as the backup. He makes no noise. I feel confident he's preparing for his opportunity. And no one on our schedule would want to see Romo coming off the bench for a few games.

It won't happen, I don't think. But he is the perfect backup.
