I'm looking forward to seeing Romo play

Yes, I do. Coaches go with the QB who gives them the best chance to win. This year's results speak for themselves. Now we just have to see if that winning continues in the playoffs, since that is something they've struggled with for 20 years.

You are very naive.

You are right, it doesn't make up much of Linehan's offense, but with Dak in there it is an option and we've used it just enough that defenses have to prepare for it. I guarantee with Romo in there that defenses know it will never be used. Just like the QB sneak at the goal line. It never gets called with Romo in there. and why is that?
No, of course they would never (or rarely) call it.
You're right. Its be a mismanagement of resources.
The team would still score--and at a very high rate--but just slightly differently.

Yes. and so do the players, sans maybe Dez..........
I dont think this is remotely true. Not even a fraction.
I think they all KNOW Romo is better. Dak too. No debate at all.
But can he be relied on game in and game out? They dont know that.

They have a young stud in Prescott that is playing very well AND they know he will stay healthy.
They are rolling with that.

The 4th round rookie is better than Romo. He's a Pro Bowler this year, has led the team to five 4th-quarter comebacks, has set numerous rookie QB records, and played a huge part in the team securing the #1 seed with two games remaining. Troy Aikman is on record saying Dak is the man and should definitely be the starter over Romo. He certainly knows better what it takes to be a successful Cowboys QB than we do, so his opinion is meaningful. The coaches also think Dak is better. No disrespect to Romo, but Dak is the best QB for this team.
Prescott is the only option for the club at this point. Tony is gone on June 1st. The road ahead is Prescott and Elliott and the OL. To dream on otherwise is pathetic. Tony has never won anything and will quietly retire June 1st. No more humiliation required. He lost his job to a college kid. No other club will ever waste any time on Tony Romo. He retires a Cowboy....soon to be forgotten...thank God almighty. Enough is painfully enough.

And this is why we all know there are Romo haters and not Dak haters.

I have no doubt that Jones wants to work with Romo and his future plans but Jerry Jones is not one to leave a dollar laying on the table. Romo has trade value and wants to continue playing. I don't think that he retires and I don't think that he plays again, unless Dak gets hurt. Without him playing, where he may be great, stinking bad, or somewhere in between, the only thing that potential trading partners have to go on is his past performance. Jones can sell that and put another dollar in his pocket.

Yakuza Rich just got hoisted on his own petard by zrinkill. It's going to take doctors, an epidural anesthetic, and a whole lot of pull, before Rich can walk upright again.

What I said was a fact . posting emoticons in response doesn't change that fact.
Romo is 100% recovered from his injury. Do you have inside information no one else does?
like it or not, I think it's been made clear Romo will not be playing. I'd like to see him play as well but understand the reasoning for keeping him off the field and accepted it.
- Romo's capabilities (2014 version anyways) are known, no need to trot him out there to re-prove
- Romo wont be playing with 2nd stringers
- him being rusty is a myth, he practices regularly with 1st team
- No need to risk injury
- keep his current playing abilities a mystery in hopes to maintain whatever trade value he has

Be prepared for Sanchez.

We will see the next time Romo plays again (if at all)

I say he does not last 3 series.

The writing is on the wall for both the franchise and Romo going forward. During much of his tenure Romo WAS the offense. I wish him the best and even hope that he would return as a QB coach in the future - but he wouldn't do that for the money as he is obviously filthy with $$$. So I'm counting on his love of the game to persevere in any future decision he'll make. He could be an able assistant, then coordinator, and ultimately the coach after Garrett hangs it up. Keep it in the family.

Nobody said he didn't. It's his durability that's in question.

Dude writes a paragraph trashing someone he's never met on an Internet forum, yet calls others pathetic. You're a real winner.
