We are in a hole as a team without a doubt. A bunch of injuries and a lot of the guys we have playing are just not good enough rght now. The coaches are hampered by the fact that they have little room to naviagate and make changes for now.....ie: can't make an omlet if we are out of eggs.

That being said, the inabiliyt of the Oline to take over a game and make our RBs look better than they are is strange. I too fell for the motto that they would make our guys look much better.

IF we can solve the OLine problems while we get guys back on Defense, there is NO reason why we cannot beat the Bucs, Eagles AND Gmen. That would put us at 5 wins if I count correctly.

The team that played last night would have trouble with the Bucs and Eagles and would lose to the GMen.
There is hope....

On Pro side I got all of these injuries to the Cowboys and New England and of course My WVU Mountaineers just got clown stomped by Oklahoma and now have to play Oklahoma Stat, Baylor and TCU all in a row with the last two as away games.

So far it has not been a good week for the BP football household and future looks bleak as well.

Friendly financially advice...buy stock in Captain Morgan as I am about to cause that stock to go up.

A week from today will be a good day to live near an ABC store for certain.

I just watched a clp on ESPN that predicts the Gmen win their next 5 games to go 7-2, meaning they only need to win 3 more to take the NFC east in their opinion. While at the same time, we would need to win all the games that remain after Romo come back to be in the hunt.

And the odds of a wild card coming from the east are slim to none unless the Lions continure to lose. Now try to be a positive thinker after that....

Looks bad right now and will likely look worse next week VS NE

But next week we get Hardy and McClain back. And then we have the bye with possibly Bryant and Gregory returning. After the bye our schedule is looking very very weak

I honestly don't think Bryant's presence will truly be felt until Romo get's back. Until then, he may be a bullet without the benefit of a gun.

Before Romo comes back, we need to beat the Bucs and have to at least split with the Giants/Eagles. That'll put is a 4-5 with Romo coming back I believe. Beating the Giants and Eagles would be massive, but we need to at least win 1 of those. With Weeden at QB, I really don't know how much Dez will contribute. Hopefully we would be able to come down with one of those sideline jump balls that they threw to Williams last night.

Best case scenario, we'll still have to play at least these games without Romo.

vs Patriots
@Giants
vs Seahawks
vs Eagles
@ Bucs

It's not over yet, but they must win the division games, particularly @ the Giants. I look at the Giants schedule, and I think they'll win 9-10 games. I think being 4-5 by the time Romo gets back is about the best we can hope for...

@ Dolphins
vs Panthers
@ Commanders
@ Packers
vs Jets
@ Bills
vs Commanders

We really need Romo to be 100% in time for the Miami and Carolina games! The Cowboys are capable of losing every game without Romo, but they're also capable of winning their last 7 games once he returns. There's still hope, but man this sucks, because when healthy, we're so much better than the other teams in our division.

Time to shock the world and dismantle the Patriots!

I don't see us beating the packers (possible if Romo and Dez and the starters on defense are all healthy) but those other 6 are winnable. If we can beat the Bucs and split with the Giants/Eagles, we'll be 4-5 with Romo coming back. If we can go 6-1 down the stretch, which I think is very possible, we cold go 10-6

Looking at back end of the schedule for us, NY, Washington, the Cards, ( wild cards Vikes and Lions?), I am afraid we will need to take the division to get in the playoffs.

In no way shape or form is this season a wash. So many in here last night while perusing the game thread were so pissy and negative. Perfection is not going to happen, but so many are ready to plunge into the abyss. Rather sad after 4 games. The proverbial train hasn't even left the station, and we have some good players coming back. This is far from over. The end of November and all of December is ours to take. I believe we can, and will. So as those choosing to jump ship, I'll keep your seat warm so the fair weather fans can once again find your seat. I'm cool like that!

I don't see us winning more than 2 games during the Romoless stretch which is fine, as long as one of the other division rivals, mainly the Giants, don't get on a winning roll.

And tied for or still in lead of NFC East and there's a chance. The disappointing thing is we have lost the cushion of 4-0 or even 3-1. First time in a long time that I'm expecting a literal blowout next week

Yeah, I expected that last year when we traveled to Seattle in October. Crazier things have happened.
