Looks bad right now and will likely look worse next week VS NE

But next week we get Hardy and McClain back. And then we have the bye with possibly Bryant and Gregory returning. After the bye our schedule is looking very very weak

Yeah, it just makes this next few weeks of football difficult to get excited about. It's rough when you really have nothing to look forward to. Running out of people to even pretend might be able to make a play on offense right now.

I have actually surprised myself because I am not mad and still think this season corrects itself.

It's hard to get excited getting 2 players back, that more than likely won't have an immediate impact, when we've lost 4 more. And weeden.

Everyone knew the first part of the schedule was brutal.

You start taking good players off the field and a difficult task become almost impossible.

Starting QB, star WR, RB, DT, DE, LB, ...yeah, we're good.

I'm not giving up yet and frankly the pessimism was ticking me off in the game thread. I don't know what everyone was expecting, but come on....hopefully next week and the long bye doesn't do me in...

Your Dallas Cowboys are not done. We're getting back the Kraken. You think Hardy played with a chip on his shoulder before it will be 20x that after everything that's happened. Even if he's rusty he's still better than anyone we have on the defensive line. Crawford appeared to be alright has he went back in the game. Rolando McClain when he was right and engaged was one of the best Mike backers in football in 2014. You won't see him getting trucked by anyone. For all the talk about Weeden he has been more than good enough to win. The dude has a QB rating of 108. I don't wanna hear this crap about how he won't take shots because he CLEARLY took some tonight. Also Dez will be back after the bye. That may be bigger than Romo coming back because our wide recieving corps are decimated right now. Getting Dez back will put everyone in their right positions. T-Will is clearly not a #1 and he'll go back to being a #2 where he excels. Cole in the slot. Takes a defender from potentially stacking the box. With Weeden's arm strength he should be able to have a good raport with Dez.

The Giants haven't impressed me. Dallas would've blown them out if it wasn't for turnovers. They beat a Buffalo team with an anemic offense missing their two top weapons. People keep talking about another SB run in New York, but they don't have the same caliber of defense line as their championship runs. Michael Strahan, Justin Tuck, Osi, hell even a JPP ain't walking through that door. Who else scares in the division? Sam Bradford still doesn't look like an NFL starter and their offensive line still cannot run block. The Commanders have a noodle armed quarterback.

With Randle's idiocy we should start to see more of Christine Michael by default. He only got one carry tonight, but he gives us a different style of runner that neither DMC or Randle are. I just don't see any of these teams that the Cowboys are playing as games we can't win. Dez coming back for the Giants is gonna be a huge boost. The Seahawks haven't looked anywhere near the team that nearly won back to back Super Bowls. The Eagles are an absolute mess and look on the verge of implosion. Tampa Bay has a rookie quarterback who doesn't look anywhere near ready for the NFL.

I'll admit I was super pissed after this game, but taking a deep breath and realizing after this coming game there are some very winnable games on the schedule. Not nearly as daunting as it once appeared. The lackluster division, the fact that we are getting some real high impact level players back soon, and the fact we already have two wins and two division wins is huge and there is reason for optimism. The defense stunk down the stretch, but most of the game they hung in there. Some missed opportunities not getting interceptions, but they're just too banged up right now.

We are getting one of the best pass rushers in the National Football League back. Who will make everyone else better. I mean just think about the kind of pass rush we can eventually have with the likes of Hardy, Gregory, Crawford, and Lawrence. This will improve the opportunities for turnovers as well. Weeden has done his job. He was more aggressive. He just doesn't have the playmakers around him, but with Dez's return on the horizon that will change. The goal line offense will improved significantly with him back on the field. Won't have to rely on T-Will. Just throw it up to Dez and he'll come up with the ball. We know how good he is on those back shoulder fades.

It's a long season fellas and we are still #1 in the NFC East. Really none of these teams have taken full advantage of our injuries and things are gonna start to upside.

One thing for sure we will know who wants to try to win, even though the odds are stacked against us.

Not giving up. There's no reason to whatsoever.

Get to 4-4 at the half.

And tied for or still in lead of NFC East and there's a chance. The disappointing thing is we have lost the cushion of 4-0 or even 3-1. First time in a long time that I'm expecting a literal blowout next week

Get Hardy and McClain back, but we have other players dropping.

We simply can't seem to get healthy enough to do a damn thing.

Me too- Honestly haven't expected a blowout since Brad Johnson made some starts. Feels bad man.

Had the same thoughts about Brad Johnson. This feels the same way. Weeden played better but he still looks very predictable from a D standpoint as to where he is going to be in ball placement and position behind the line. That said our D reminds me of years gone by where the oppositions QB looks unstoppable and RB's are gashing us .

Brad Johnson had a 50.5 passer rating in 2008. Weeden has delivered a 108 rating so far. I remember the feelings of hopelessness when Brad was out there but I don't feel that with Weeden. Additions on defense plus a possible return by Dez, it isn't implausible to see Dallas as winning 2 from NE, NYG, Seattle and Philly. I think they can beat Tampa. 5-4 or 4-5 and the team is primed to make a run for the division, because with Romo we can go on a 6-1 or 7-0 run to finish the regular season.

I just don't see the situations as that similar.
