I'm not saying Dak is better than Mahomes

Point 1: Mahomes played in 73 games, Dak only 56 and Dak still has him beat in 400 yard games.

Point 2: Mahomes has a god-like receiving unit. Dak has a very good receiving unit but it doesn't compare to Mahomes'. Kelce + Hill > by far anyone we got. Cowboys are receivers by committee. Chiefs have a receiving unit that have been proven unstoppable by 31 teams.

Point 3: Wins are a team accomplishment, so Mahomes didn't win those games on his own.

Again, Mahomes > Dak overall because of his Super Bowl and his postseason accomplishments, but lots of his games are simply because Chiefs are good enough to jump ahead and beat teams without Mahomes needing to do much. Cowboys has a bad defense most of the times, 0 dominant D-linemen, a used up starting running back, and an O-Line that blew the SF playoff game badly. Mahomes O-Line was horrendous in the Super Bowl, but at least they chose the last game of the year to be bad in.

Thoughts?

Point two is subjective because it's difficult to ascertain how each would do with the other's receivers. Did Mahomes make those receivers or did they make him? Do the receivers let down Dak or does he let them down?

Short of a QB swap to find out, it's not so simple. You also have to look at the system the QB's are in and whether or not they are the best for that QB. I don't think Dak is in the best system for him. I'm not sure about Mahomes.

Your point three is a good refutation of your point one. Those yards are a team accomplishment, based on line protection, playcalling, QB play, receiver play, etc. They don't play on identical style offenses with identical players, so the comparison is silly since it too is a team accomplishment.

Probably means KC has a better defense and KC can coast to a win in more games than us who has to try to out score opponents

Again for the upteenth time you aren’t disputing the factual data. You even agreed with it. You just don’t like the narrative he was attempting to spin from it. Just more Dak trolling.
I can't take you seriously after you said:

"Outdated data isn’t false "

Good thing scientists, mathematicians, and most educated don't live by this or there would be zero advancements in anything since there would be no reason to update and improve on anything. Everything would be at a literal stand still forever.

Who cares if he’s using data that is outdated but correct. I’m not sure what you think it changes since you agree it hasn’t changed ? Dak still has more 400 yard games .

Again , you just don’t like his narrative . Shocking. Lol

LOL.

Fun fact..

2 of Dak's 9 400 yard games came against the NFC East.

3 of Pat's 6 came against the NFC West.

Dak almost had 400 against the raiders this year without his top two wrs.

Carry on.
Yeah i think i remember that game. Wasnt that the game where he had 100 yds passing through 3 quarters and than 300 yds in the 4th quarter. Or was that the GB game in 2019 when GB had the worst pass defense in the NFL the score was 30 to 3 to start the 4th quarter.

Fans forget that an opinion based fan forum doesn’t have to be factual. Data , tweets or links you provide need to be.

In a fans eyes their team or QB, etc can be the best in their eyes without it being established as scientific or factual data.

Mahommes is far superior to Dak in arm strength, mobility, and creativity with arm angles. That’s why he was a first round pick and Dak was in the fourth. No shame in that as Dak is clearly better than lots of guys drafted in the first round, some #1 overall picks who never amounted to anything.

All that said, Mahommes looked pretty bad behind a subpar OL, so the idea that the best QBs can win without much help is total garbage. That’s the great thing about the sport of football….it takes a team…period.

I wonder how many of us would pick Dak over Mahomes if there were a valid choice to be made.
I mean, hey, I like Dak and all, but sheesh! :muttley: All one has to do is watch them and they know.

Yes, the game that clinched the division for the Cowboys when they beat the defending world champ Eagles.

I thought you wouldn't have remembered it since you thought most or all of his 400 yard games came against the NFC East. Clearly you misremembered.

Nobody here including the OP has stated Dak is better than Mahomes .

Yet, he offers stats that appear to favor Dak in spades. Much of that is due to the fact that Dak throws shorter passes, imho.

Don't get me wrong . . . I like Dak and think he's quite good but to infer he compares favorably with Mahomes is a bit funny!
