Stats are what sets the bar of each player's paycheck from the league minimum to the fully guaranteed max dollars. Stats are how players are paid bonuses and incentives. Stats are used to determine who has a job, who starts, and who get cut. Stats are used to determine who makes it in the Hall of Fame or not!!!

That GB defense was allowing 400 plus yards in multiple games going into the playoffs, had third string CBs off the street and got walloped by Atlanta the next week and we were playing at home..

Aaron Rodgers carried that hobbled GB team into the playoffs while that defense sucked and nobody expected that GB team to even make the playoffs midway through the season.

that team definitely could have gotten to the SB of Romo was staring with that All pro OL and RG. But then we decided to start the guy who completely sucked and took a week to throw a TD in training camp in year 3.

The game against the Eagles that i remember was the almighty Dak needing to beat them to win the division and the Cowboys fully healthy roster vs depleted Eagles roster and Dak put up 9 points while the defense held the Eagles Wentz to only 17 points. Wentz had no WRs and Dak layed an egg like he always does when it matters.

9 points came from stalled drives by a inconsistent QB. That seems to be happen with important games but no worries Dak makes up for his lack of production when he pounds the WFT so his stats look so much better. But some of us can see the real truth.

Point 1: Mahomes played in 73 games, Dak only 56 and Dak still has him beat in 400 yard games.

Point 2: Mahomes has a god-like receiving unit. Dak has a very good receiving unit but it doesn't compare to Mahomes'. Kelce + Hill > by far anyone we got. Cowboys are receivers by committee. Chiefs have a receiving unit that have been proven unstoppable by 31 teams.

Point 3: Wins are a team accomplishment, so Mahomes didn't win those games on his own.


Again, Mahomes > Dak overall because of his Super Bowl and his postseason accomplishments, but lots of his games are simply because Chiefs are good enough to jump ahead and beat teams without Mahomes needing to do much. Cowboys has a bad defense most of the times, 0 dominant D-linemen, a used up starting running back, and an O-Line that blew the SF playoff game badly. Mahomes O-Line was horrendous in the Super Bowl, but at least they chose the last game of the year to be bad in.

It wasn't 100% false. What you are taking issue with is that it's not up-to-date (2022)..... But data can be tru for a specific period. Interpreted as per that period.

There are defining moments in every great QB's career that elevate and separates him from the pack. Staubach and Aikman had theirs while White and Romo never had theirs and as of today, Prescott has not had his, he is not a great QB.

Romo out dueled P. Manning and threw for over 500 and lost, which is considered the great QB?

Marino and Rivers are among the tops in 400 yard games and they failed to have that defining moment.

Prescott is a good QB, better than I thought he was going to be in the NFL but he is not great but he is better than about 24 other QB's in the NFL.

Any member here had their mind changed about what you think of the QB or was your mind made up by what you saw? Stats are for those that do not watch the games.

The excuse making of the team surrounding them is overused because the QB's #1 job is to lead and lift his team. Those, and only those, are the great QB's. And Dak Prescott has yet to do that. But he is not nearly as bad as some make him out to be and he can still achieve greatness because he works at it.
