I'm on the Jon Kitna Bandwagon

We're both arguing because you refuse to let this go. I tried yesterday to put an end to this but you keep hammering away. Nothing is going to change our opinion can't you see that? Us repeating ourselves over and over isn't going to change anything but the time we're wasting on the clock.

Then why do you keep trying to change mine? I'll hang up if you hang up. :)

Weeden will start this week and will play much better than last week. Romo will be back in two weeks. End of thread

If he were to play. I see this happening.
The good thing is... Romo is starting.
The bad thing is... Romo is starting,

Let's hope for a win and no more damage to Romo.

Philly won anyway, so I think you're kind of making my point for me. Although I will say, I thought there was a .500 chance that we'd win with Orton because that's what his play and career have shown (which is why I would not have gone with Tanney). Again, our chances of winning with Weeden are only .200.

Philly might have won anyway had the Cowboys had Romo. If you go by the play of both Orton and Romo's career a 500 chance that we would beat Philly with Orton might have been better than our chances with Romo seeing that he's 0-3 in season finale elimination games.

It appears you would wait, holding out hope that this team could go at least 3-3 with Weeden, but I cannot see that happening. There is no proof in his history that he can do it and there's been no proof in what I've seen of him as a QB.

There's no proof with Vaughan, either, obviously, but again, it would be about getting him experience (although I would be hoping for more than that ... just like I would if Weeden started).

I wouldn't "start" Vaughan but if the Cowboys were getting beat handily in a game I would yank Weeden and put Vaughan in and see how he plays. If he made some plays THEN I might consider starting him the following week if Romo were still a no go. Things would have to go consistently bad with Weeden where the team isn't competitive for me to turn to Vaughan. As long as we're in games and have a chance to win them in the 4th quarter then Weeden would be staying in if I were in charge.

Then why do you keep trying to change mine?

I'm not trying to change your mind. lol You can't change anyone's mind here. In all the years I've been posting not once has anyone I've been arguing with ever replied back after a lengthy debate and told me I finally convinced them they were wrong. Rarely does anyone concede anything here. Once fans start arguing they dig their heels in and won't budge look at us.

i had a good argument with you years ago and we came to a truce.

i think.

I disagree completely. People on here don't dig their heels in.

We had a little misunderstanding a couple of years ago and it took you awhile to get over it. You made a comment that I took wrong so I took a little innocent jab at you that appeared to hurt your feelings. Never meant to offend you. You got the impression I didn't like you and that's not true. I never had a problem with you and it seems like everything is cool between us now.

And again, I will say I believe it's delusional if anyone thinks Weeden can suddenly play better than that when he has not shown any signs that he's more than a .200 QB.

That's not what you said was delusional. You said: If you think we should play Weeden because we still have a shot at the playoffs, you're delusional.

it sure is cool between us..

know that..

Guess you missed it.

That was a joke based on the exchange. Lol

It's easy to miss them here. Glad you were joking because this thread is a classic example of 2 posters digging their heels in. Lucky I'm not arguing with a female who's wearing stilettos. lol

Oh I hear ya... I had a few exchanges with some orioles fans. Man, they were laying it on real good, I mean it was thick and rich. I tried to caution them to take it easy.

I took a few body shots, sustained the barrage. Then I got a TKO when I had to speak no more because they laid a major mother goose egg!

Yeah, so I won at least "dig in heels" exchange lol

Yes, agreed, stilettos bad!

You say you want to give it a rest, yet you keep going. I get the feeling you are a have to have the last word kind of person.

Not sure you're understanding me on the above quote, either. Without Romo, we have no shot at the playoffs whether we play Weeden or Vaughan. Weeden has shown in his career he wins about 1 of every 5 games he starts. That will not put us in the playoffs.

Anyone who thinks if Romo is out that we should play Weeden, because that still gives us a chance of making the playoffs, is delusional.

I've conceded that I would play him against woeful Jacksonville, but there would be no reason if we were suddenly without Romo for longer than that to stick with Weeden. He has proven in his career and in the play we've seen from him so far that he cannot hold the ship together.

It's amazing that someone who dwells on this elimination game crap can so blatantly defend a quarterback who sucks so much throughout the season (Weeden not Orton). Or maybe it's not amazing and should just be expected.

I will say this, though: I still would have dumped Weeden and kept Vaughan as the primary backup at the end of the preseason. Not because I think Vaughan would give us a greater chance of winning at this point, but because Weeden showed in the preseason that he gives us little chance of winning.

If we did that and happened to find a vet backup who did give us a 50-50 chance of winning, then I would demote Vaughan and sign the vet.
