Romo has a brain injury. Its all mental at this point. Hes playing scared and with no confidence. Hes thinking too much and not throwing accurately in the process. Hes not moving around like he used to. I dont recognize him. One can only hope he snaps out of the funk. Hes a good QB who needs to get his confidence back. The coaches obviously arent going to help him, hes got to figure this out on his own. I Wish him lots of luck.
Actually, today we saw repeated mental errors from the wr's. It cost us points in the redzone and a big first down on the opening drive.
He also was repeatedly lining up bennett today, Bennett mentally has looked out to lunch for two weeks now.
this is the third game in a row where laufenberg has said there is zero seperation from our wr and the secondary. today denver took away witten.
then in the second half the line struggled, on the final drive in the redzone, we had hurd, austin, and crayton running routes. Jason Witten was forced to stay in and block and help out.
To quote laufenberg.....we had a free agent, a free agent and a 7th rounder against two perennial probowlers in the denver secondary.
No barber, no williams, no felix jones and Jason witten stuck helping the left tackle do his job.
Its something we will have to fight though all year. I dont know how you create the seperation, throw in the apparent mental mistakes with receivers not sitting down in the open area of the field or finishing thier routes and you have an inefficient passing game. Without a healthy barber and felix it just is alot to ask.
Romo missed a couple of throws today, but he was equally let down by the guys catching balls and blocking for him. Having Jason Witten be forced to block in the redzone with two chances to win the game is sickening. Just like the final drive against the giants in 07 in the playoff game, witten, the go to guy was blocking.
