So.... just because this person thinks ROMO sucks and he expresses his opinion he is a troll?

So in these forums we should all just backup and support our MEDIOCRE QB, that just came to his level and will be (the perfect eternal backup)?

I think that forum are to express and respect everyone's opinions.
I also think that Romo is finally showing what he is. A medium Tier QB in the ranks of the following

1. Jake plummer
2. Kitna
3. Steve Beurleine
4. Elvis Gerbac
5. Aaron Brooks

I see romo an one of those. PERIOD.

Whoa whoa, back up a second. Since when was Steve Buerline or Elvis Grbac ever a "medium tier" QB?

Well, they were QBs that "had" "perhaps" "would of" "could of" whatever have potential at some point.

Beurlaine did "ok" in the panthers when they started.

Gerbac was "the main" in the 49ers or a seaon or 2.. am i wrong?

yea i know..lets just cut him
no lets keep him so he can tease us with big games against winless teams than has multiple turnovers against good teams. he also loses playoff games in exciting fashion.

Both those guys had like 1 or 2 seasons that were decent. That does not a mid-tier starting QB make.

I'll agree with this: Romo is, as we sit here today, regressing. It's undeniable. Is it mental? Lack of talent around him? Coaching? Just what he is? Dunno.

I'm not ready to give up on him, and thankfully, I don't have to right now. I get at least 12 more games to assess him before needing to join a get-rid-of-Romo campaign. Because anyone asking for Kitna is just dumb and/or a Commanders fan.

Is there a difference between the two? Dumb and Commander fan I mean.

I'm waiting for the excuses to end.

1. Needs better receivers
2. Needs a solid running game
3. Needs T.O. off the team.
4. Needs more games under his belt.
5. Needs to get rid of Jessica.

And all the talk about he still hasn't hit his peak and we need to give him time. He will be 30 next season. He's not young. There needs to become a time where they have to move on. Not saying right now but his mechanics going back to last season are showing why he was not drafted. Holds onto the ball way too long, never sets his feet when he throws, makes horrible reads on basic coverages, is off target WAY too much on simple slants and outs. Never seems to be on the same page with anybody on the field. And he is not a leader by a long shot. When times get hard, he gets his hat, turns it backwards and sits on the sideline and pouts. I never see him firing anyone up at all.

Since Romo sucks let's cut him than. So you want to start Kitna or McGee? Which one do you recommend? Or trade for Brady?

In may case, and I AM SURE many of you share the feeling. We have had "nothing" since Aikman. Of course, it will not be an easy task to replace a Hall of Famer and a very very good QB that we had. But unfortunately that is in the past and we need to stop living of memories.

I think we are soooo desperate to find our next franchise QB that we just want to hang the title to the first shiny thing we see (Romo in this case) We are fans of the Dallas Cowboys, one of the most important teams in the NFL's history. So yeah, we need to be up there wit the winners, we belong, but that wont make our players good.

This is NOT the NFL of the Triplet's era. In today's NFL we need much more factors to combine for us to win, and the way I see it we dont have them.

Adding to that, I think we are taking an ordinary, AVERAGE QB, that would be an ideal "BACKUP" and making him what HE IS NOT. ROMO IS NOT AND NEVER WILL BE THE QB OF THE FUTURE!!!!

NEVER EVER!!!!! REALIZE THIS GUYS NEVER.

Eli this or that, critics or not, living in his big brothers shadow or what the hell.. he has a SUPER BOWL ALREADY, and has had a STEADY gaming performance. PERIOD. He lost his "no. 1" WR with plaxico and he is still doing decent.

I don't think Romo has more pressure than Eli. Who is always and always will be, compared to PEYTON, always. and yet Eli is there getting things done.

Big ben, Good, bad, slow TWO SUPER BOWLS PERIOD.

Drew bress.. dont even get me started there.

So yeah.....

I am personally convinced that TONY ROMO is not the QB of the future for the Dallas Cowboys.

No one is saying start them 2 or make a huge trade. Basically to come to the realization that Romo is not the guy to lead us to even a playoff win, much less a Super Bowl. The organization needs to realize this to and start planning to get another QB via draft or free agency. Because if they keep believing, they may pass up a good opportunity to land a good QB.

Funny, I said only 2 weeks ago that we need to start looking for a replacement for him and people thought I needed to check into an asylum. They also thought I was crazy for wanting Free to take over for Flo after this season...and again, I was crazy for thinking that.

It's like I said a few weeks ago in regards to Romo's play being like the friend who relapses as a drug addict...sometimes you have to ask 'your best thinking got you here', which is not a good place to be.

To me, he's severely regressed. He doesn't make reads as quick as he used to, his anticipation is way off, his accuracy is off and he looks like a timid QB when he's in the pocket. He's no longer a young QB that is learning from his mistakes. The better off the organization realizes this instead of hanging onto the hope that he's going to turn it around, the better off we'll be.

I agree with you 100%

Romo should have "learned" and matures by now. The mistakes he keeps making are just things that wont go away.

Guys like Flacco, and even Mark Sanchez are better QBs than romo.
Romo is a good backup PERIOD.

Isn't it absolutely disgusting that rookies are coming in and outplaying Romo?

You mean how they passed up Brady Quinn? How good do you have to be to win a Super Bowl? As good as Eli? A guy with a career 77 qb rating? Or as good as Trent Dilfer? Or Brad Johnson? I'm sorry I just don't share this opinion. I don't know what has gone on in Dallas where we want to get rid of Romo but we need to get off it. Its October. If Romo goes 3-1 or 4-0 in December than what? Do we still need another qb? You guys are jumping the gun a bit. Give Romo the season than judge him.

You mean how Romo came in outplaying the competition as well? Its easy to do that when no one has film footage on you. You start to get film footage and realize that Sanchez is careless with the football and you get what you saw today.
