good point man and good argument

heh, but it is hard to be patient when you're so close to your goal. : )

we'll see what this team is made of in the 1st playoff game and go from there.

your right they don't deserve any credit for last night. i'm not talking about last night i'm talking about the other 15 games we played and the 13 wins we have

I'm bias :D since I authored a thread about Aikman's play calling yesterday, but I think you still have a point. It seemed like Aikman was being negative about the boys right at the start of the game, before there was anything substantial to base the negativity on. Quite honestly, I've never had a problem with a play caller being bias in all the years that I watched football before.

Tex Schramm said he'd rather the media was negative about us than not talking about us at all. Tex was a genius. All credit to Tex for the philosophy.

I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed this or not but Aikman has been blasting alot of negative comments our way all season. now i know he doesn't want to seem bias to the boys but....i could just be imaging things

So your saying that's a reson to have 6ints I can see maybe 3 but of Peyton's calibur having 6??? I can't buy that. in my opinon no QB should have 6int in a game no matter what. Let me correct that, no starting QB should have 6 in a game
Do you know what route running is?? Do you know hard it is for back-ups to make their first start and be where their supposed to be when they got a QB who cant get protection in the pocket cause half of his starting O-line isnt even playing.

next time you watch aikman call a cowboys game, just have a piece of paper handy and put down a "1" under "GOOD" and a "1" under "BAD" for every positive or negative thing he says and make a note of what he said.

then ask yourself if you were not a cowboys fan, would the negative be true or at least within reason to say?

just wondering if you let the compliments slip on by and focus on the negative.

They didn't deserve any credit for last night's performance.

Furthermore, Cris Collinsworth has been one of the biggest Cowboy homer sthroughout the season. He really could be a white Michael Irvin, the way he has cheerleaded for the Cowboys at times :).

I have posted numerous Youtube clips of him comparing Romo's release to Marino's, gushing all over Demarcus Ware and being real complimentary of the Cowboys in general.

Why do you want respect from the media anyway? We have not won a Playoff game in 11 Seasons.

All we need to do is "Just win baby" and everything will take care of itself.

I'm getting tired of oversensitive Cowboys fans.

Wwwaaaa, the media give us no respect.

Wwwaaaa, they have nothing good to say about the Cowboys.

Wwwaaaa, they won't stroke our fragile egos.

Win a Super Bowl first. This team hasn't done anything to be considered one of the elite teams along side the Patriots and Colts and the late season swann dive is a legitimate cause for concern.

Maybe they turn it on two weeks from now. I hope they prove me wrong. But until then, this team needs to prove it belongs in the Super Bowl rather than its fans worrying about whether media experts consider the team pretenders to the throne.

It might have been true for his teams. But clearly the negative media had a psychological effect on our team of the 90's. They didn't take too well to it. There was an us vs. the world attitude at valley ranch. Many players showed it got to them by publicly criticizing the media. Some reporters were banned. It all depends on the personality of the team.

I think your missing my point man. yes the pats came out and won but they struggled and when they struggle the get praised when we struggle and win we get comments like we don't deserve to be the number one seed

Uh, the Pats made it to the AFC Championship last year.

Uh, the Pats have won three Super Bowls.

Uh, the Pats have a two-time Super Bowl MVP at quarterback and a guy who just refuses to lose.

You honestly want to compare the Pats to the Cowboys, who have not won a playoff game in 10 years and whose late-season swoons have become the stuff of legends around here?

Oh, and who said the Cowboys don't deserve to be Number 1 seed?

As William Money (in "Unforgiven") said, "Deserves got nothing to do with it."

We ARE the Number 1 seed. Now we need to go play like we deserve it.

Well, the media aren't going away. So this team had better develop tough skin or perform to alter media perceptions or we're going to be in trouble as a squad.

And the Pats weren't banged up.

Are you telling me that the Pats didn't rest the entire right side of their OL Saturday?

Am I just imagining that they have 7 players on IR?

I think the team we have now are more grounded then that one. I know those comments should bother me but i can't help to feel like the boys don't get the fear they deserve from other teams because their always undercut with everything they do

What about him not making the same comments for the other team? :D The skins could have rested their players a lot earlier yesterday, based on the Cowboys poor performance and the Vikes sucking. Also, what is this with the constant complimenting of opponent QB that he does. Todd Collins impressed me yesterday, but still some of that praise is premature. Like I said, if Collins beats the Seagulls then I'll be impressed, but to be talking like he is going to be a starting QB next year for another team, or to compare him to great quarterbacks... Collins reminded me of Jason Garrett at our Thanksgiving games. Did I think Garrett was going to start for another team after those games? :)

I'm telling you that you are not objectively comparing things. To compare our game to theirs, well objectively TO was out, would the Pats still have won with Moss out? The Giants were winning that game until Eli blew it.
