I'm sick of the media not giving any credit to the boys

I'm telling you that you are not objectively comparing things. To compare our game to theirs, well objectively TO was out, would the Pats still have won with Moss out? The Giants were winning that game until Eli blew it.

We have been one of the HEALTHIEST teams in the NFL this year. You are the one failing to be objective - the Pats won 3 of their last 4 handily and went into Giant stadium and pulled out a victory against a team that has 10 wins.

To suggest that the Cowboys should get anywhere near the props that NE is getting is just silly. NE did something unreal this year. Hats off to them.

next time you watch aikman call a cowboys game, just have a piece of paper handy and put down a "1" under "GOOD" and a "1" under "BAD" for every positive or negative thing he says and make a note of what he said.

then ask yourself if you were not a cowboys fan, would the negative be true or at least within reason to say?

just wondering if you let the compliments slip on by and focus on the negative.

i wish I had the reference but some folks who study media psychology did a study examining fans' perceptions of announcers' comments. the results are exactly what you've described. Fans focus on the negative comments, primarily because those are the comments they don't agree with.

i hear aikman compliment us all the time. then i hear something not a compliment and know there will be this discussion, focusing on the bad, not the compliment.

and people wonder why the media tends to be negative. cause it gets reponses.

had been. Without TO, who was our #1? Hurd? Still you haven't said how you think the Pats would have done if Moss would have been out during the giants game. The giants lost because of a meltdown on part of Eli. Moss was a very big factor late in the game.

I think Troy tries to be balanced -- he knows that every non-Cowboy fan is going to see him as pro-Dallas so he's got to temper his remarks.

Whenever he says something negative it is usually pretty true -- when Troy gets on one of our WRs for not fighting for the ball or suggests a non-call on PI against a Dallas CB, he's dead on.

Yet, I never had a problem with any other announcer in my life. Yet, my probs with Aikman's comments started this year. I guess all those 5-11 seasons, the announcers only made good comments about the cowboys.

Yes, let's play fantasy land. What if the Pats didn't have Moss? Who cares.

You need to stop trying to imagine outcomes and focus on REALITY.

Like he is Dead on by comparing Collins to great QBs, and saying that teams are lining up to get him to start next year. :lmao:

yeah didn't he say something like when he was playing the bills that he thought Collins was Jim Kelly or something along those lines????

Yes, lets play comparing apples to oranges. You say: "But the pats won their game," as if the pats situation is the same as ours. When someone points out that it isn't you say they're in fantasy land. Also, I must be in fantasy land for considering that the pats came to win that game, whereas the cowboys came to minimize injuries. Your version of not being in fantasy land seems to exclude paying attention to a lot of vital details.

yeah, it's objective like "Quite Frankly, the cowboys haven't been playing well lately." vs. that Collins makes him think of Jim Kelly. Also, you think if Aikman would have had a chance to make a record with one more play that he wouldn't go out there? Yet, he is shocked to see Romo out there, while at the same time Commanders could have rested their players at that point too.

Why can't you compare apples to oranges?

They're both fruits.

Wouldn't it be more 'let's compare apples to golf balls'?

Here's where you are wrong again. The Pats didn't just win their game. THEY WON EVERY DAMN GAME THIS SEASON. What about that are you missing?

I hope the next month and into February is littered with media hatred. Pour it on thick. Make these guys sick. The more hatred the better.

Well....gotta go to the store...we're running a shortage of these today. Be back later. (I better go to Sam's Club and buy bulk)
