I'm so tired of hearing how "dirty" RW is...

I said it gives a ballpark. I don't know what "stop rate" or "succesful deep pass defense" really means. For all I know, it gives credit to a safety for a poorly thrown deep pass. Not to mention how many of those passes were Patrick Ramsey throwing to Rod Gardner, or McNabb going to deep to whatever scrub receiver playing #1 for Philly.

This is taking what happened in 2005. I don't recall Ramsey ever playing against Dallas last season.

Joyner does look at poorly thrown passes just in case you have somebody with a weird discrepency. However, I highly doubt Roy was priviliged with more poorly thrown passes than Sean Taylor or Brian Dawkins or Gibril Wilson when all is said and done.

And it wasn't like Dallas was causing such great pressure to make the DB's job easier. They finished 15th in pass attempts/sack ratio and 12th in adjusted sack ratio according to FO.com.

I don't think there's any argument that Roy and Polamalu don't play on the same level. Stats don't paint the picture and Polamalu has such free reign in that defensive scheme, he's around every play

Adrian Wilson gets the same privilege. Last year they led the league in blitzes by defensive backs. Despite that, he only had 1 INT and 1 Forced Fumble (that the opposing team recovered anyway). He had 8 sacks, but that should be expected given the high rate of blitzes.

my take on sean and roy,roy is known for big hits and so is sean..roy's big hits come against players in awkward position and cant protect themselves..sean on the other hand has more hits face to face with the ball carriers and knocks the hell out of them...and there is a reason roy makes alot of tackles with the horse collar move,he takes bad angles and ends up chasing..just my take!!!

Name 10 horse collar tackles he made on a player

Name 10 bad angles he took in a game

We will be waiting :)

Flat out stupid, uninformed statement. The average Commanders fan's lack of knowledge about what ACTUALLY happened there is ridiculous, considering the amount of misguided smack they run about it. Educate thyself.

Remember, most Commanders fans believe that your best CB should follow the opposing #1 WR for the entire game. That's despite the fact that no NFL team does this...the fact that the highest amount done by any cornerback in the NFL in 2005 was only at 64% (Dre Bly)....and that Shawn Springs only covered the opposing #1 WR's 34% of the time (second lowest % in the NFL).

Can you educate those properly who ride the Football short bus?

Not really. I agree with SP. I never said RW was dirty to begin with.

I know I wasnt implying you thought he was. I meant the "What do you think we see on the lame-*** attempts to make Roy seem like a dirty player?" question

Then find those other 8. And how about those 10 horsecollars? All you are doing is making a stereotype about a player from what you see on highlight tapes and combining it with the bag of dog poo you call Extremeskins.

Turn on the TV and go back and watch another Cowboys game and come up with an answer that is your opinion, not something that has been forced down your throat by some mediot or fellow fan.

Yes.

Do you then understand how aggravating all the lame-*** attempts to degrade Roy's ability are to us?

If so, HH accomplished something today.

BigD, i mentioned earlier that I agreed with SP. ES is a big board with a lot of members. Of course you will find stuff that you will not agree with on there.
