I'm sorry but Cooper Rush isn't good

If Rush had any zip on his throws, he would've tricked some GM out there into earning a starting job years ago. That obvious lack of arm strength is why Jerry will be able to keep him on the roster for peanuts as the main backup. That likely will continue beyond this season.

Not sure what you want. He’s a backup who can win a couple of games in a pinch. He’s got some huge limitations, and that’s why he’s a backup.

He’s not. Most people know this. Bless the guys heart he’s giving it his all but his arm is just not good enough to allow this offense any type of consistency especially in this offense. They rave about him getting the football out but when you do that you don’t allow big plays to develop and this offense has been built on big plays in the past.

You have people in this site who will die on this hill because they dislike Dak so much but Rush sucking has nothing to do with Dak.

The Rams Bills game made me jealous. We haven't seen QB play at that level around here in around 30 years.
Some of Dak games in shootouts?......how about Romo in shootouts? Wow. Now if you're only talking about KMoore, Cooper, Andy Dalton, Kitna, Cassel, Nooch......you sold me.

Some of us already knew about Cooper "2112" Rush. He's a capable backup that will continue to have a good career but he's not starter material and he never will be. His inability to move in the pocket is crippling. But Jerry has historically been very cheap on who the backup QB is so you get what you pay for.

Rush should be listening to "YYZ" more in pregame warmups. The way he's playing you'd think he's been listening to that hack George Strait, who has been vocal over the years about what Jerry has done to this franchise.

Because the Bengals are run stupidly like the Cowboys. Well not quite as stupidly.

It doesn't matter how stupid a team is run. Around here, it's made very clear that all team success and failure rests on the quarterback's shoulders. So this goes for all quarterbacks.

We’ve never won a game because of him. Hes not capable but I do agree he is what he is so hard to ask for much. Hes a backup for a reason. I still think Lance can at the very least move the football to score.

Rush is miles better than Dak, but that isn't hard to do.

Yet no team outside of the Cowboys would pick him to be their starter. Over a QB who had a bad season this season. But also in the last few seasons had the Cowboys offense ranked in the top 5 and was in the top ten of several QB statistical categories. If Rush was really "miles better" than some QB hungry team would have seen that and picked up him by now.

You know around here these guys have no idea what they are looking at they still think coaches yell at players and cut them for mistakes. They are still living in the 70s…

If you believe this that says it all.
This is the same fan who really insisted that the Cowboys wins over the Commanders and a terrible Giants team, was the best thing that has happened to this franchise in the last 17 seasons. Even somehow better than the 2007, 2014, 2016, and 2022 seasons we had with Romo and Dak.

Yeah, those big stats sure did translate into a championship- oops!
I guess Dak's big stats versus cellar dwellers don't mean much versus good teams.

Joe Burrow is absolutely a top 3 QB in this league, and hes probably been the best QB in the league this season. His WRs certainly play a role in how explosive the offense is, but hes also running for his life every time he drops back as they might have the worst OL in football. His ability to feel pressure and move both up and out of the pocket while keeping his eyes and upper body in position to throw the football at all times is very impressive.

The Bengals are so bad this year because they have one of if not the worst defenses in football. You simply can't give up 28 points per game and win consistently in todays version of the NFL. Going position by position defensively I'm not sure they have many guys who would start for other teams on defense. Hendrickson and BJ Hill are probably their only above average players on defense. Offensively obviously their WR group might be the best duo in the league but they have a pretty average TE, and honestly I'm not sure any of the guys we saw yesterday on their OL are anything more than fringe starters. The Bengals made last night close and have been bad all year because they have maybe 7 guys (9 if Orlando Brown and Sheldon Rankins are healthy) who aren't much more than JAGs.

I know Burrows is a damn good quarterback and better than Dak....

But I'm reading how you placed the reasoning of the Bengals being a bad team, due to a bad offensive line, bad defense and injuries?

How is it those are excuses for other teams quarterbacks, but not excuses for the Cowboys when our offensive line sucks, we don't have a talented receiving corp like the Bengals, our defense has sucked and we have had devastating injuries across the board??

You see where I'm going with this?

Again, by no means am I saying that Dak is Burrows.... but last year when Dak put an All-Pro season despite lacking offensive weapons except for CD.... it gets looked down upon. Then with a bad offensive line, bad defense, injuries....

He doesn't get those excuses. He supposed to overcome all that too. Ya feel where I'm coming from?
