I'm sorry but Cooper Rush isn't good

Hurts is making 51m or 11m more than Dak this season (funny how extension last work). Meanwhile the Eagles have top 10 players at the other 10 positions on offense (top 5 in several cases). Then on defense they have one of the best secondaries in the NFL.

So the question simply becomes why are the Eagles, who are paying an inferior QB more, not struggling to put that much talent around him? Why can they do what the Cowboys can’t? Perhaps the “cap killing” narrative is just nonsense to mask that Jerry is bad at building a team.

It's definitely nonsense that members of this board use to bludgeon a QB that they don't like with. The reality is that paying your QB 40 or 50m a year DOES NOT keep you from spending in Free Agency, or handing out extensions to your key players. The Eagles have put together an absolutely ridiculous roster picking up free agents and hitting on good players in the draft. A quick look at Spotrac puts the "we have no cap space" narrative to bed, yet every time this is pointed out on this board the haters STRANGELY go silent or just ignore it and go right back to bleating about MUH CAP SPACE!!!!!!!1! over and over like idiots.

The salary cap in the NFL goes up every year because the league makes money hand over fist. From last season to this season, it went up something like 25m dollars. Contracts can be restructured to further lessen a cap hit. Even with Dak's megadeal in place, the Cowboys have something like 28m as of right now projected in cap space without taking into account any Salary Cap increase for next year. There will be plenty of money for maneuvering in Free Agency and extensions.

a lot of times down and distance dictate your play calling.... but we were getting rushing yards by a chunk, so maybe he wanted to surprise them a bit...not sure.

Yet the one win the Cowboys had a couple a weeks ago over the cellar dweller Giants seemed to mean so much to you, that you claimed that win and the win over the Commanders was better than anything the Cowboys had done in the last 17 years. Including the seasons where the team won 12 or more games and made the playoffs.

Nothing Cooper Rush has done has convinced any other NFL team that he is a QB who can lead them to Championships. Yet you continue to build him up.

This thread kills me. Is Rush good? No. But he has been what…24-10 as a starter…and yet we are paying 60 mil to a guy with more talent but at this moment in time isn’t winning either. We have a lot of issues. Rush looked competent at many points tonight…and then a backup
