Joe Burrow is absolutely a top 3 QB in this league, and hes probably been the best QB in the league this season. His WRs certainly play a role in how explosive the offense is, but hes also running for his life every time he drops back as they might have the worst OL in football. His ability to feel pressure and move both up and out of the pocket while keeping his eyes and upper body in position to throw the football at all times is very impressive.Dak may not be the answer, no argument there.
But you said we saw a franchise quarterback in Burrows last night? Are you sure it wasn't do to those franchise receivers he has as well?
I'll put it to you like this. Burrows is very good, no question. But if he was so franchise, why is his record so bad this year?
Why did that franchise quarterback need a botched blocked punt to win the game vs a bad Cowboys team?
The Bengals are so bad this year because they have one of if not the worst defenses in football. You simply can't give up 28 points per game and win consistently in todays version of the NFL. Going position by position defensively I'm not sure they have many guys who would start for other teams on defense. Hendrickson and BJ Hill are probably their only above average players on defense. Offensively obviously their WR group might be the best duo in the league but they have a pretty average TE, and honestly I'm not sure any of the guys we saw yesterday on their OL are anything more than fringe starters. The Bengals made last night close and have been bad all year because they have maybe 7 guys (9 if Orlando Brown and Sheldon Rankins are healthy) who aren't much more than JAGs.
