The kid is darn good and can play but don't worry, by draft time he'll be labeled as inaccurate, can't read defenses, poor throwing motion, and any other crap that can be heaped upon him. It happens every year. Just sayin!!!

And every year there are two or three college QBs labelled as "can't miss bonified future NFL stars" by fan experts that neither get drafted in the round where they are projected to be "guaranteed locks," nor are able to translate their college games successfully to the pros.

A number of those points you sarcastically brought up are legitimate criticisms of RGIII too.....just sayin'!!!

He's been a fantastic college QB and an intriguing prospect for sure with a lot of positive intangibilles.

Griffin has said before he wants to stay in college to finish up his degree. Not sure if he will keep that stance. But if he stayed one more year in college he likely would be a the first QB taken

You may be right, but Griffin is better than Cam Newton and Newton's doing OK at the next level...

This kid does nothing but get better every year...

He could be scary good at some point...

I think Newton is doing more than OK. He's a rookie without the camps because of the lockout. He's been borderline tremendous.

I haven't watched Griffin play, but Matt Barkley can flat out ball.

If you're a team hurting for a QB, this draft is going to be a good one.

I hope the Skins sign like, David Garrard or Kyle Orton and skip on these rookies.

Perhaps a better comparison than Young is Tavaris Jackson body-wise, but skill-wise, I think Young is a good matchup. Both are athletic and can make plays with their feet. Both have a penchant for the dramatic.

When I say that Griffin is more talented, I mean just that, more talented. He's a much more polished passer with better accuracy and velocity. He's leaps and years above Young in terms of behavior, IQ, etc.

Vince was a few inches bigger and weighed a few more pounds and it did nothing for him. If Griffin could gain about 15 pounds and not sacrifice any speed, he could be what Tavaris Jackson never was and a true gamer in the league.

To be quite honest, I would hate for the Skins to get him. People here also hate on Barkley, but he could be a very good QB in the league as his strengths outnumber his weaknesses. Don't let the ghosts of Leinart lead you to believe that Barkley is cut from the same mold.

Andrew Luck - #1
Robert Griffin - Top 10
Matt Barkley - Top 10
Landry Jones - Top 15

It's conceivable that all of those will go in the top ten. All of the above are legit prospects.

The more the better for the Cowboys.

Interesting comparison, but I don't see any of Vince Young in Robert Griffin...at all. I would have said a more accurate Michael Vick just because of his size and he's fast as all get out...but Griffin can throw the rock and is very intelligent, which I don't believe those other guys are supposed to be (at least football-wise). Maybe Steve Young is a better comparison because of his ability to throw accurately.

I love Romo and think the fans that don't like him don't have a clue what's going on :) , but I would be happy if Griffin fell to us. I think he's a unique talent. Having said that, its just because he is so talented, otherwise I'm for drafting some interior linemen to keep our QB upright and our running game moving.

Which is probably why he said, "more talented"

More talented or not, they're totally different QBs. Griffin is a pocket passer who can make all the throws, but can run if he needs it. VY was a run-first option read QB who could throw, but made his living with his legs.

Griffin compares a lot more to Vick last year than VY ever.

And to whoever said he's staying in school - why would he? His stock will never be higher, but add to that, he already graduated. He graduated in December of 10 with a poli-sci degree.

He is also very close to getting his masters degree. I agree that his stock will never be higher. I don't see why he would stay another year at Baylor unless he just loves being in Waco and nobody loves being in Waco.

You really underestimate the power of women:D Half kidding, half not, but seriously i think he stays, comes out next year, heck the man might not even want to play pro ball.

What, there are no women in NFL cities? It is possible that being a pro player is not his ultimate goal. I would respect that. I would respect his decision if he wanted to stay another year in Baylor. I think the odds are that he comes out after being at Baylor for 4 years, but anything is possible.

Why? Romo, questionable as he can be, is a proven commodity and has another 5-6 years of solid play in him. Use those picks on offensive and defensive linemen please.

I agree. Get those lines shored up up.

Nobody throws a bubble screen like RGIII.

yeah, that about sums up my feelings. If he actually measures in at 6'2 and performs well at the combine, I may change my mind, but I see a ton of check downs in his future.

Was listening to sports talk here in Houston and John McClain was interviewing HC Art Briles who said RGBIII will be returning next year to Baylor and will be attending law school next season.

Griffin was interviewed on the Scott Van Pelt Show on ESPN radio on Monday. He said he has not made a decision yet. He said he would discuss his options with Coach Briles and his family after the season. He also said he would ask god for guidance. Based on what I heard in his interview, he didn't sound like his mind was made up either way. I suppose he can go back to Baylor and attend law school, but still not choose to play college football.

Only stating what Briles said this morning on the drive in.
