Whats different about it, really?

I did this last yr and made a thread on it. The only difference Cowher really has is he's had more years as a HC, and had them all in the same place. He's got plenty of home playoff losses, an incredibly stupid decision regarding a starting QB and a super bowl win that he had absolutely nothing to do with.

His overall record is 149-90 in 15 seasons, which means he averages about a 10-6 record every yr. Wade's record is 82-56. 3-4 of that was as an interim HC, so as the real HC he is 79-52, a 60% winning %, Cowher's is 62%.

If you can guarantee me that Cowher being here would get us the same treatment from the officials that he got in Pittsburgh, I'm all for the move. Otherwise, I see no upside of Cowher whatsoever.

I didn't bash anything, I made a prediction. A prediction is based on nothing other than a guess or what you are going to expect based on other results, and from what I saw vs Washington and Chicago that's about what I expected.

So don't tell me what I said, It wasn't bashing. Oh look someone was completely wrong in a prediction! That's why they're called predictions. Duh.

Not letting go of it, because I really believe it. Downplaying this team's talent level is just a cop-out excuse for reasons why they haven't taken advantage of that talent level and turned it into a championship. Yeah, we've got weak spots, like any team. I think we're weak at ILB, FS, and spots along the OL. But overall, no team can hang.

We'll be 7-2 before we hit the "tough" part of our schedule. Book it.

I am no expert or anything, but I watch a metric ton of football, and I don't see any team out there with the pieces we have. I have to believe that we'll find some way to make it work, just as a matter of pride. If we do, noone out there can hang with us.

What was your prediction from the first 2 games if you don't mind me asking?

Some people here remind me of a giants fan that was trolling another cowboys board a few years back during one of our annual October - November hot streaks predicting we'd lose every week and when he finally got it right after 5-6 wrongs he came crawling out the woodwork to have his little told you so moment and pat him self on the back

i'll gladly pick a loss every week and be wrong if it means we'll win, however i will never post a thread to brag about it if we do lose. Some will, and we all know how much people here love those threads

My point is it's silly to use how many SB trophies you have as the ONLY criteria on how you judge a coach as my example of Landry vs Cowher proves, obviously no sane person would put them in the same category but by that criteria alone they are.

Here's a doosey for you... by that criteria alone.. Chuck Noll is the greatest coach in NFL History and of course we will all laugh at that.
