I'm staying a Cowboys fan, but my NFL interest is waning. As a 32 year old, I've never seen the Cowboys in an NFCC game since becoming a fan. Heck, I have to use YouTube to watch the Cowboys actually win. That said, I'm not going to ditch. However, I have to admit my NFL interest is waning.

Firstly, it helps that I enjoy other sports, particularly European/Premier League football/soccer and WC football/soccer, and I'm also a big hockey fan. Specifically, my Premier League team, the AFC Bournemouth Cherries have been spectacular. Here's a team that was collecting money in buckets in 2008 to stay alive, and now they are 6th in the Premier League after thumping Nottingham Forest 5-0. Oh, and Bournemouth's home ground has only got a maximum seating capacity of 11,307. Compare that to AT&T Stadium, and it really puts the Joneses to shame. Then there's my hockey team, the Vegas Golden Knights (who share an owner with Bournemouth, maybe he can buy the Cowboys?) who have only existed since 2017. They went to the Stanley Cup their first year and then won it a few years ago. So yes, having other sports helps me wane my interest in the NFL.

Secondly, the NFL feels like a recycled product at this point. I don't know how else to say it, but it just feels......dull at this point. I mean, I enjoy watching the sport. I'm still a diehard Cowboys fan. I still enjoy going to the pub every so often to watch some games like I plan to do tonight for one of the championship games. However, I can't say I enjoy the NFL as much as I used to. Between the officiating being crap and the Cowboys being useless, I can't say it's as intriguing as it used to be for me. Hopefully my joy watching the Cowboys will be rewarded some day and I'm not going to ditch. However, I much prefer world football and hockey. Also, I must say, I enjoyed the college season, and I do like to watch the Japanese X League when I can. But, all in all, especially with the NFL, it's getting a bit boring.

I'm a Cowboys fan who can't bear to watch any more. I don't have the energy to look for another team, or sport. One sport, NFL football. One team, the Dallas Cowboys. It's been nearly 30 years since dominance, and I am simply taking a break.

Understandable, but I will say the Premier League is a great league and is very exciting.

Yeah, been with the boys for 44 years since I was a pup. Remember being so little and crying as Dallas was losing to the skins in rfk. Praying for victory. After the nonsense recently, dak regressing and the loss to the pack, I had no energy for this year. I'll never root for another but this hire is disappointing and underwhelming. Not sure I'll have any enthusiasm or excitement in the near future. Hope I'm wrong but it's frustrating.

I mean, hopefully Schotty works out, and I like that he's talking about running the ball more. But we heard that from Mike, and I'm more interested in Bournemouth and the Golden Knights.

Check out a local minor league hockey game in your area. I know many small cities surprisingly have local teams. The tickets are cheap and if you want to actually see hungry players that aren't entitled or pampered, you'll love it. ECHL level is pretty decent.

The Chiefs dominating the league has definitely made it less exciting for the rest of the teams fans and this happened during the Patriots run too.....its just a byproduct of dynasties

I watched less football than I ever have this year.

College sucks with the portal and NIL. I'm done with it for good unless they can undo those things, which they won't.

The NFL is all kinds of BORING. The quarterback play is terrible, which is why teams run 2-deep zones all the time now to take advantage. The rules are atrocious. The money has gotten so high that the players barely care anymore about winning.

The best analogy is a once hot supermodel that just turned 70 but it now rich.

The NFL is an old man wearing Depends.

I have other teams in other sports I root for but I still love football Sundays- especially here in New England in the fall/early winter. 3 hours to relax and be annoyed in that moment about something that big picture wise means nothing.

I would counter argue that officiating has never been better. Our ability to overanalyze missed calls has been the problem.

In th 90’s, a ref could miss 6-7 egregious holding calls in a row on Bruce Smith and no one would be the wiser. But if that happens even just twice in today’s media age, you get pages and pages of people losing their minds. Officials are under more scrutiny now than ever, and they are minimizing missing the really ridiculous calls that used to happen. But it’ll never be perfect.

Officials aren’t the problem that’s hurting the NFL, twitter and YouTube and TikTok are

The Cowboys have been my sports love for 50 years.
I would make my plans around game time.
The green bay loss and the silly all in comments followed up by a do nothing offseason finally broke me.
I watch the games if it's convenient.
Jerrys mismanagement of the team has finally killed my enthusiasm for the team.
It's sad that one man can take away something that used to be a source of such enjoyment.

I am way more of a hockey fan these days. I probably won't even watch the NFC championship game because I despise both teams and will find no enjoyment in it. It's sad the the Rangers, Mavs, and Stars are all way more entertaining teams that I care more about nowadays. I love the cowboys but I am apathetic. The thing that keeps me most interested in the NFL is oddly fantasy football which is something I still enjoy.

You’re just feeling that way because this year sucked. When you lose your starters after going 12-5 for 3 years in a row the season isn’t the same. Regardless how anyone feels about Dak, when you lose your starting QB the season is over in this league. The NFL is awesome. I’m a secondary Chiefs fan so that helps. But I watch as much of every game that I can. We can only hope and pray that El Cheapo opens up the checkbook in FA and we have a solid draft. I’m learning to quit having my sights on them picking who I want, as they generally do the opposite! (Schoonmaker is a perfect example). For two seasons no RB’s drafted!!!). Just wait and see. That’s my approach going into next season for sure

I'm a fan of all the Dallas area teams so it hasn't been as bad the last few years. The other three have been their respective sport final so they at least attempt to try to win. I'm also an Arsenal fan. They also try but they also let me down as well.

We are being held hostage to a vindictive vanity project. In order to induct Jimmy into the Ring of Honor, Jerry had to be reminded by Troy and Michael that it's not the Jones Ring of Honor but the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.

The fact that he needed to be reminded at all shows how deep the rot is. So yeah, people are going to check out while you are too busy looking in the mirror.

I'm gonna support my friends, Art Briles and Hal Mumme in the IFA. Art is the coach of the Dallas Pioneers and Hal coaches the San Antonio Caballeros. Inaugural season starts in late spring. Look it up. That get me my fix until camp starts in July

If not winning trophies is going to cause your interest to wane, I’ve got bad news about your choice of an EPL team…
