Takeaways from the call:
1. Parnell is going to start at RT, and Free has the option to take a paycut to remain as the top backup or be released. That seemed to be Jerry's cryptic message.
Apparently Jerry did not say this...
2. Jerry says Kiffin told him our defensive line is a strength, and that he really needed more linebackers than linemen.
3. The team ran a lot of three tight end packages against Baltimore and want to do more of that with receiving threats from all three. He said that's what they wanted to do with Martellus Bennett "but it just didn't work out."
4. Jerry says Kiffen asked for young, instinctive safeties to work with, not seasoned veterans, and that safeties in this scheme didn't need to be rangy as much as they needed to be smart. Kiffin said the scheme provides them with the angles, and that they just have to be athletic enough to make the plays.
5. Jerry said there will be a lot of competition between Dwayne Harris and Terrance Williams, which is dumb because Harris is a slot and Williams is a wideout.
It's not dumb at all. It's all about playing the best 11. If Williams beats out Harris on the depth chart that simply means that Austin moves to the slot. Where as he might be on the outside if Harris beat out Williams.
6. Jerry is all lathered up over Randle, and he did say that Lance Dunbar is going to play a very prominent role in the offense. (Sounds like Tanner might want to get his resume in order immediately.)
Tanner lost his snaps last year, not news.
7. Jerry wanted us all to know that the trade value sheet was HIS creation, along with his buddy Mike McCoy, who HE told to devise it.

8. Three women asked questions: First wanted to know if we are interested in Tim Tebow, the second asked about drafting Johnny Manziel next year, and the third went on and on about how she met Jerry in Seattle years ago and how she's also a Trailblazers season-ticket holder. Not helping the stereotype, ladies. LOL
9. Jerry said Ratliff is not injury prone, then mentioned how he had three seperate injuries last year. LOL
Doesn't have a history with injuries.
